    1. What version of Android?
    2. Are you installing from Google Play or the APK directly?
    3. Did a previous version ever work?
    4. Did you have chance grant all permissions?
    5. Does it work on any other Android device?

I have the same problem. I just to have the galaxy 10s and it work. Even it was working on this newest version of the galaxy s21. But its stop, because a bug was detected. How can we solve this.

Are you on Android 12, and if so, was it working before upgrading?

We don't have a solution yet, but if it was working before, can you tell me which version so I can get you a link to try installing the previous version to prove your theory?

Jim let's find a solution to this problem. I paid $99 for the only app that supports the Mavic air 2. The app worked fine on October 27, 2021. There was an update on Nov 5, 2021, with the latest version being 3.0.1. I tried to use the app on Friday, Nov 26 2021 and it came out with a bug and stopped working on my Galaxy S21, Model SM-G991U. Please find a solution to this and make me happy. Thank you

Jim let's find a solution to this problem.

I am trying. Sometimes these things can take time when I am unable to reproduce the issue on our test devices (we don't have every single Android device ever made).

the only app that supports the Mavic air 2

Dronelink is not the only app that supports the MA2.

    I paid $99

I am happy to cancel your account and issue a refund if this process is too frustrating for you.

The app worked fine on October 27, 2021

This would imply v3.0.0 is working. Here is the link to download that APK. Please let me know if it works.

If Android 12 is indeed the issue, I believe it is a bug with the DJI SDK that they are going to fix in the next version, which they claim is going to be released on Dec 31.

It is your app that is not working properly. Fix it or refund my money. I don't have time to endless discussion. Comprendes...

My Dronelink app and DJI Fly app quit working at the same time right after an OS update on my S21.  However, I have an older S10 no longer used as phone with carrier that still works fine.  I think it's the S21 Android 12 OS Update that caused the problem.

I got the same issue and I also just upgraded to Elite to us my Mavic 2 Air. This issue seems to have started recently and there was a OS update a few days ago for my S21 Ultra.

Android 12 is not supported yet (due to the aforementioned DJI SDK bug). Supposedly they have a fix coming at the end of the month but their deadlines are pretty squishy.

Got it. The old DJI Go app also doesn't work anymore on the new OS, I had installed for a Phantom 3. The DJI Go 4 does. Thanks again, I will find an older device to run this on for now.

I have 2 devices that I am using to fly my Mini.  One was the S21 but then I bought the S7 tablet and have been using it.  I had received a couple error msgs. saying that the device was too slow and I was having a problem with the drone quickly flying out of range and it did not appear to issue the RTH by itself, I had to move closer to where the drone was hovering.  So I rehooked up to my S21 because it is faster and this is when I found that Dronelink no longer works.  I am almost 100% sure that it is the Android 12 OS that is causing this issue, in fact the automatic upgrade is causing so many problems, like battery operating time, that there are numerous hacks out there to return it to OS 11.  I do not think it is possible for myself though because if you had a security update after the move to OS12 the hacks will not work and you could ruin your phone.  The hack is pretty extensive and possibly dangerous to phone so I am waiting for Dec. 31, but I will keep looking for a simpler and safer hack, if I find one I will post it here.  Good luck to everyone having this issue.

I am seeing that anything having to do with DJI on the S21 Ultra with 12 OS, does not function. This is from the Aloft app when trying to connect to DJI.

DJI Fly worked on my Samsung S21 OS 12.  Dronelink does not work at all, when clicking on the icon nothing happens.  Jim says DJI is promising a fix by Dec. 31 but I don't understand why it's a DJI issue when it works with DJI and not Dronelink.  Yet you, Jacob says it does not work with DJI fly app.  Very confusing.

DJI always updates their own apps first and then releases their fixes / features in the DJI SDK later. It's the same reason why DJI Fly supports all the new drones and we don't yet. Fun stuff.

Just a quick update, I just opened DJI Fly on my S21 and it prompted me to update, which I did. So hopefully that is a sign of progress.  I don't envy anyone having to keep up with this stuff on the programming side, but I do appreciate the support you provide Jim.

Yes that happened to me also, but it didn't help. I have, the only one I saw, a query into Samsung about this issue. I am not expecting much because it always seems like it becomes a pass the buck situation. I really don't know, or understand, who is at fault for anything. I worked 15 years,part-time, making MIDIs,but I know nothing about programming. That's what I leave to Jim. Hopefully we will get an answer soon.

The latest Android beta (183) should have a fix for this issue. Please let me know if it is still not working.

  • Thank you, once I uninstalled the original app the beta works now!

Yes, the beta worked for me on a S21 with Android 12, awesome news! But I also have an S21 that has not been forced to update yet and still running Android 11 and started using Dronelink on that device, but it will surely be forced to update soon enough. Can we confidently run the beta for mission planning? I see the disclaimer on beta page and just want to make sure it is dependable.

Jim I was down for a while as I was getting a new drone from DJI. I have been flying for about 2 weeks and the program now works on my updated S21 so apparently the fix worked.

Did you grant all permissions. If you missed any that could be the issue. I’d delete the app, reinstall and make sure you go through each one and grant permissions. I believe Android has about 11 of them.
