App crashing at start on Redmi Note 8 Pro

Stephan Mitterer

Hi,

I just purchased dronelink and installed the app on my Redmi Note 8 Pro.

Unfortunately it crashes right after launching the app also giving me an error message, but only so short that you can't read it.

Any idea on how to solve this?

Thanks

Is this installed from Google Play or directly via the APK? Does it crash on other Android devices or just this one? What version of Android?

Downloaded and installed via Google Play Store and APKpure (to try older releases)
Where would I find those from dronelink directly?

Haven't tried on other Android as I don't have suitable ones for that.

Android veraion is 11.RP1A200720.011 (MIUI Global 12.5.3)

The APK can be downloaded directly from our website:

Menu --> Fly only links to the app stores, so same result.

If I download the 64 or 32 bit variant from your site, both give me an "app not installed" when trying to do so

You may have to uninstall the app first before you can install the APK.

Ok was able to install them now after uninstalling the app (and deleting the cache) but still having the same behavior as described

I am not sure what else to suggest. Our analytics show that we have had over 1k successful missions from users on this particular device over the last year, and several within the last week. If you are not able to find a resolution please email support@dronelink.com for a refund.

Ok I got it working with a workaround:

If I deny access to the phone, it works. After allowing it, crashing again and so on.
So keeping it on "deny" works...

Interesting, it is usually the other way around.
