Home Point for RTH
In DroneLink Mission when i start is the Home Point automatically sent to the drone?
Scenario: I plan a path at home, i load it for offline use, i start the mission, if something go wrong and i use RTH controller button the drone will come back at take off location?
I understand to use command for RTH alt in my mission if i dont use?
Thanks

The RTH behavior is controlled by DJI's firmware and works the same in all apps. When the motors arm before takeoff, the firmware automatically updates the home point to the current location - Dronelink has no control over this..
Jim, I assume the connection fail-safe setting that allows you to configure the behavior of the drone in the event that you lose connection gets set in the drone at the same time as the home point, correct?
This mean that i dont have to do nothing! I launch dronelink, the homepoint is already update when the mission start and when i use the RTH i can be sure it will work!
Thanks
Yes, but it makes sense to launch the drone (e.g. Mavic Mini) with DJI fly app. Wait until all pre-checks are finished and take off. After few seconds you should hear a voice saying "The home point has been updated ..." or something like this. After that you can close DJI fly app, start Dronelink app and run your mission.
Does this elaborate process you hint on Michael F. also work for Autel? Had a fly-away case with my Autel II Pro on Friday using Autels Onboard Waypoint mission. I think I should have started the mission purely on DL, but decided to try a mission to provide some feedback between Autel's Explorer App implementation and of course DL.
Losing my Autel Evo II 2 pro drone has made me appreciate DL better. For a while, perhaps until next Friday, I'll not be providing Autel feedback. I was hoping to do some rigorous tests this weekend for the DL team, but this impasse has slowed me down. I plan to get the V2 next week and will resume providing feedback. We really need to get the full capability of Autel Evo II Pro into DL.
Now to my question, is the RTH for DJI the same as Autel? Remembering that many of us are looking for that one App to rule them or almost rule them all... and it's looking likely as DL. Or can the option be given to force set the Home point to me, drone's take-off point, or perhaps a place I setup manually?
I don't see any point in that elaborate process, Dronelink tells you all systems are ready once enough satellites are sensed (Normally about 12), I've hardly used the DJI fly app for any flying since i got Dronelink, and when I've had to do an RTH, the drone has come back to within about 6ft, and that's good enough for me because i normally cancel RTH about 20 feet up and then land manually
