IOS support for Mini 4 Pro? How to handle the issue at the moment?

HP Z

Dear all,

is there a feature request to add IOS support to dreamlink and when will it be available. At least DJI has an IOS APP - DJI Fly - they recommended to me to use with an iPhone. Therefore DJI-support for IOS is available.

How do other IOS and Windows users handle the situation?

To do a map planning close to my house where I have my internet connected laptop with me may help for a first 3D map. But if I want to use the drone elsewhere out in nature, carrying my laptop with me will not help.

Looking forward to your support

Hans-Peter

Hi Peter, dji didn't create an SDK for ios, therefore neither Dronelink or any other 3 did party software can be used with mini 3 or above

    Hi Martin,

thanks for the fast response. Funnily DJI provide DJI Fly on IOS also for the mini 4 pro, therefore at least they have an (internal?) SDK for IOS.

For me not clear, why they do not offer it for others.

I still think about to hande the situation as dreamlink seems to be a great choice - if it works on iOS. At the moment it would mean I do with dreamlink whatever I can plan at home using my W11 laptop, transferring it to the mini 4 pro. For everything else I have to use DJI Fly, which seems to me to be a little bit a stupid approach.

On the other hand side I need a chance from time to time to do a 3D map, e.g. for my own house and the surrounding territory.

Maybe someone has experience with this challenges and found a solution for himself already and is willing to share it

The only solution is to use an android device, this was dji decision not to create an ios SDK, so there is nothing that Dronelink can do

    Hi Martin,

I still have the hope that there is a chance to plan in dronelink, export the flight in a format DJI Fly understands and imports it there.

Buying an Android mobile in addition to the iPhone with an own mobile contract doesn´t look interesting for me.
If I could use it without a contract just to comunicate via WLAN to with the drone could be interesting.

But than any transfer from my Windows Laptop to an (used) Android device would only be possible in a WLAN area.
