You should not be having issues with that iPhone 14 Pro Max. Do you have any other apps running in the background. What type map plan are you running and what is the size of it. As far as the Mini 3’s, it uses the “Dronelink DJI” version. So you will need to download a separate “Dronelink” version for the A2S. It is a different version for each drone.
These are the factors: https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036721233-Why-do-I-see-Device-Running-Too-Slow-during-missions
Was it in direct sunlight and overheating?
I had freshly restarted my phone and had Dronelink the only app running and have used it with other apps in the background. Normally the picture gets glitchy while running missions not smooth like with the mini. I mainly use my drone in south east Georgia it’s normally hot, humid, and really sunny most days. My phone does get hot to the touch. Even though I try to stay in the shade. I have gotten my android phone to work with the drone so I think I will try with that phone. I haven’t had any issues with the mini 3pro running large mapping missions on the android phone.
This mission was around 50 acres but my missions I try to stay under 100 acres per part.
The android phone is the One Plus Nord N200.
Hey Seth. It does sound like it may have been due to the iPhone getting hot since it worked good all the other times as you said. The A2S is supported with either Android OS or IOS devices so whatever works best overall for your purposes. Just realize when using any device you may still have the same problem if it gets very hot. You may also have other issues especially when running a mapping component using the Nord N200 whch is 4 years old and not considered a modern hardware device. It may work fine but all you can do is try it and see how it works when mapping. Time will tell. Good luck and enjoy.
