Luis Chiado. A couple things which may help. If the drone lost signal then it was more than likely interference, too far away or something else which made it disconnect. Whatever the reason the DL app does not control the connection between the drone and controller. The DL app requires a constant and clear connection to work when using virtual stick method. Once it lost signal it should have triggered the Return Home after about 11 seconds which is all controlled by the DJI firmware, not the DL app. If the Return Home altitude was not set high enough and there was anything in its path then it may have hit something. It is also possible if it was far away the battery may have been low and eventually it would trigger the auto land. How far away was it flying and did you check the last know coordinates to try and find it. If you would have went to the last known coordinates with in a short time and used the Find my Drone feature in the DJI app it would beep and show the location on the map if it still had enough battery. Not sure how long it’s been but it is still possible to find it based on the last known coordinates. You can check your flown mission in the Web app and it will show the last point it was connected and the coordinates which may help to retrieve it.
If the new drone isn’t connecting then you should check the DL article and make sure you have done all the necessary permissions as well as force closing the DJI App. Both apps cannot be ran at the same time and is a common issue. There is no reason why it should not be connecting. If you think the DL app caused this this then I’d send the logs and let them look at those to see what happened. DL stands behind their app and if it was something with the app which cause a problem they may be able to help.
