DJI Air 3s

Tomasz

Is it planned to integrate the DJI Air 3s drone with the Dronelink software? Will Dronelink support this model? Is there information available on this?

Search for other threads for these questions. Most questions have been answered many times. I doubt you will see any of the newer series’s added by DJI as they need to build the SDK first for any third party app to work.

Why is the SDK needed?  I have an Air 3S and I create and upload the KMZ files using the common workaround of putting them in the RC 2 Android DJI waypoint folder and renaming them, etc.  A pain, but works.

What I feel would be good for those of us with these models is that the camera information would be available in the dropdown when creating a map.  It would help the app calculate overlap, etc. more accurately.

However, I am fairly new to all this and maybe I am missing something?

Gary. The SDK is the software that DJI needs to develop in order for any third party app to work. It’s was DJI’s choice to abandon any future SDK support other than the enterprise series drones and for some strange reason only continue SDK support for the Mini’s. It is a ton of work to build the SDK for any drone and usually takes about 6 months or more for DJI to create the software. Dumb decisions in my opinion but nothing anyone can do at this point.
