Phantom 4 RTK

Reto Weiss

Is it possible to install dronelink native app on the built-in Android tablet or not?

    Thanks for the Link, Jim.

I know about that article but which controller do I have to refer to, speaking for the P4 RTK?

    • Smart Controller: probably not
    • CrystalSky: Definitely not
    • Phantom 4 Advanced / Pro V1 Screen: not really

We don't have that RC to test with, so it might be trial and error to figure out. The only real difference between the APKs in that article are 64bit vs 32bit.

I managed to install the 32bit version and was able to start the app. Login, however, didn't work. I can't remember the error message, unfortunately. Also Google Play Services kept crashing...

Is there anybody who was able to actually fly the P4 RTK with dronelink or is the statement regarding compatibility a guess rather?

That drone is listed as compatible because we know it works with the SDK RC without the built-in screen (just connecting a normal tablet to it).

Thanks Jim, that's an important information.

I already considered buying a SDK RC, if dronelink works (well) with it, I will probably do so.

    • Can dronelink cope with RTK accuracy, also speaking for the M300 RTK?
    • Is it possible to position the respective drone within 10 cm or so?

    Regards

The RTK accuracy is opaque to Dronelink, which just operates on whatever GPS coordinate the DJI SDK returns.

I understand. From a controller point-of-view, however, such an accuracy is reasonable, right?

Just had a go at an install on the P4 RTK Controller.   Same thing with the google play services crash :(

I was able to load the app, load a flight, but it listed the aircraft as disconnected.

Has anyone had any luck with making dronelink work with the P4RTK?
