follow mode
Mavic mini 1- Dronelink 2.0.0 (2127)
When i start the Follow mode advanced or simple settings and i am not moving yet it holds position once i move a bit it changes position opposite site and goes bit far even or flyaways completely . No idea whats wrong otherwise orbit and focus work ok. I calibrated the drone .its in urban conditions might be affected by congestion area ? But I do not experience any wifi interference nor disconnections .I am puzzled. Dji app and firmware up to date/ Phone android Redmi 5 Thanks for any hints...

Hi

One thing i noticed is that the telemetry is off by a lot of meters, but when i first started DJI app took off and switched to Dronelink it kept the correct estimate D and A .The vids are maybe too long so skip in between , also when i moved one way it flew the oppossite e.g., and once the sticks were not responding despite selected RC stick YES. Thx
What were you doing on the sticks when the target icon would move really far away?
Sometimes it flew far away and turned back so i did nothing but if simply was flying away and not stopping i pressed RTH. I started the mode and did not move . drone engaged and focused on me and stayed on position, once i started to walk one side the party started ..So i did nothing in most cases just moved my body and once i repositioned with sticks and sometimes sticks input did not take effect at all . I am thinking about the re-calibration of the smartphone when connected to RC but if the calibration of phone would be offseted would orbit or focus work art all? Would the drone work his way around at all ? Because those modes focus and orbit work well even with stick inputs while performing the modes .I am thinking about trying to use a different phone maybe .
It would be good if you could try it on another mobile device to see if it is something specific to this one device. We just tried to reproduce your issue and it is working fine for us, and as far as I know you are the only user experiencing this strange behavior. To be clear, the only thing that should move the relative target location is stick input, and it definitely should not move the target as fast as is shown in your videos (the target is the transparent drone icon).
Wow I am the only one at least something ha..:-)Ok will keep on checking thank you !
Not saying you are for sure the only one, but rather the only one that has reported this specific issue. This is a pretty serious issue so if you can help us solve it that would be awesome!
I just noticed before even taking off and while flying there appears always a second icon of a drone is that ok ?
Right, that is the target (where the drone thinks it should be). In your videos it wildly moves all over the map (should not happen, trying to figure out how to reproduce what you did).
btw i have USB debuging set ON under developer options on my Phone not sure this is of benefit information
Hi , after using a different new phone all working accordingly, I dig into the problem and found out that the accuracy of the chips from Qualcom in Xiaomi Redmi 5 has a restriction to 3 meters accuracy and i have also might have something wrong with the chip i do not know .I used a different phone with a different chip Mediatek where GPS accuracy has no limits and its 1 meter. So case closed i believe ,Many thanks for following up and wish all the best !
im having issues with follow also if anyone can help.

I press yes to all the setup options. click play. the drone will have a little spaz and then face away from me.
its not tracking at all. if i adjust it so you can see me. still nothing, i move side to side with controller, the drone does nothing :/
Phone Pixel 3/ DJI mini SE
Jim McAndrew Dobson Sky,
I see the exact behavior with my Mini 2. The strangest part is that it was working PERFECTLY on my first day. A few days later, I tried again and it did exactly what you've described. Today, I tried again and it rotates a bit to stare what it seems to be my home backyard. It doesn't follow me regardless of different follow settings.
My phone is Galaxy Fold 4. I tried on a Pixel phone and it does the exact thing. Can DJI make updates to block your 'features'?
I have downloaded Lichi and it follows me just fine. Please help.
I was playing with follow mode on my mini 2 the other day with no problem, what device are you flying with, I was using a tab 7FE 5G
Since it worked before I’d Delete the app and reinstall. Make sure to grant all 11 permission’s and see if that works. They all must be granted. Possibly something in the devices settings got changed accidentally. I believe there are at least two which are for location which must be granted. Can’t hurt and the simplest thing to try first. Good luck.
The only problem I've had is documented here https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/11107849242899-Follow-me-sudden-height-increases and I need to check this out again to see if i can replicate it
