Yes please
Lets do this. Be competitive with Drone Deploy.
As a paid-for option, or as a regular feature?
WebODM is a subscription based service for the user. It would therefore be a regular feature since the user would have to already have a subscription to WebODM.
I use WebODM too, but not the Lightning Public Cloud service. I have a local install that serves my purpose so I was wondering about the implications of this processing option. Nevertheless, I understand your ask now.
Like Emmanuel Otchere, I've got WebODM installed both on my desktop & laptop, and don't use the web based service, however if i did how would the images get from the drone to to the web service, and how would all the various settings such as boundary file settings get applied?
This feature request isn't 100% clear, so any details about what you want to see would be great. WebODM lightning is a subscription based service so if we did integrate it there would obviously be a monthly fee / processing fees associated.
In the spirit of the evident deepening partnership between DroneLink and WebODM - where is this request headed now? How about an update on where it is in the roadmap? Consider maybe placing the API here (under the Pix4D and Amazon APIs):
Any more details on what you would like to see out of an uploader, or to put it more specifically, is there something missing in the WebODM uploader that you think we could implement that would make it a better experience?
Hello Jim,
I really appreciate how responsive you and DL generally are. Thank you for top notch service & support. (I left a 5 star review in the Play Store for you).
So the answer is the convenience factor of launching the upload to WebODM / or ODM Lighting from within the DL application. It would be much more convenient integration and smother worklow & improved efficiency.
The old adage is true - "Time is Money", and "Every second counts".
Where can we all see what is truly on the "roadmap" for the next N releases? I see there is a voting / prioritization on feature requests - but where is the actual feature "roadmap"?
Could you be more specific about how this integration would work?
The beta test is where you can see what features are currently in progress / prioritized. Beyond that we don't publish a roadmap because we don't do release date estimates and the features that are slated change all the time anyway.
First item,
Remembering the feature introduced in Version 4.3.1 where the list of JPGs and their mapped locations could be leveraged as the image source for either an upload to WebODM Lightning (or to download same images to WebODM).
BTW - does this Actual Map feature work in the App as well as the Web version of Dronelink?
Thanks, Daniel.
