Telemetry Delayed

Bobby Rink

I am new to drone link...  I have made a flown a few small missions.  Yesterday, I tried a bigger mission.

About half way through the mission, I got a FAILED notification, Telemetry Delayed.

What is this and Why did it happen and how can I prevent it from happening in the future.

I was flying a Mavic Mini and it was about 3 minutes into a 6 minute flight.

There are a ton (1) of other (2) posts (3) on (4) telemetry issues already, and you can see this message for a lot of reasons.

I have read everything posted about delayed telemetry and adjusted mission in all suggested ways and I still get the same error message in the exact same spot on 4 missions.  I am baffled because I fly to this same location by hand and have never lost connection.  It is only approximately 700 feet from my location.  I am using a mini and flying a simple path with an orbit and return.

There is a difference between completely losing connection and having a good enough connection for automated flight. Humans are way more tolerant of bad connections than computers.

I got my first Telemetry Delayed failure.  I was doing timed photo run and the error came in within about two minutes.  Should I just wait when that happens or cancel the mission?  It looks like the option is to X out of the warning then press play to restart the mission from the current location.
