Dronelink Android app worried ...
https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360049173634-That-was-scary-What-did-I-do-wrong-?input_string=Working%20out%20when%20drone%20can%20lock%20up

Sorry to hear that you are having issues Martin. I am not sure I fully understand everything because of translation errors, but it sounds like the primary issue here is connection loss. As you may know, Dronelink requires that the drone remain connected at all times (learn more). If you do lose connection and it activates RTH, it will use the default behavior built-in to the firmware, which is out of our control. If the drone is within 20m of the home point, it will land at the current spot (by DJI's design). We do not understand why DJI chose to implement the RTH behavior in this way, but we have no control over it. If you can maintain connection, you can regain control at any time as explained here.
@ Jim McAndrew
I'm sorry, I was put on and listened to. Situation: DJI Mavic Mini lands automatically and you no longer have control ... Nothing works anymore ...
E-waste would have hit almost € 400, just a jump into the hedge enables the DJI Mavic Mini to rescue.
I do the translations with “google translate” because English is not that good.
I stuck to the flights and tips from Andrew Busst today. During the first panoramic flight on a meadow everything was fine!
I then wanted to take more panorama photos of my house with Dronelink!
I heard manually with the Dronelink Android app, then lost the mission, heard at 20 m ………… and nothing works anymore.... .. No control, no control of the RTH controller, no nothing has changed… DJI FLY can also no connection heard ...
I then heard the controller, and reset it, the DJI Mavic Mini cannot be heard.
And just because I'm quick enough for conversations and jumped in a hedge can I save the DJI Mavic Mini ...
The radio connection itself cannot break off within 20 m!
As I've read it here, others have had problems too!
I suspect the problem is in the Dronelink Android app, maybe also in the DJI SDK for Android.
@Jim McAndrew don't be mad at me, I think the basic idea and the functions of Dronelink are very good!
But I have no understanding when such errors occur!
I deleted the Dronelink Android app from my Huawei P20 Pro. I am too unsure to use this software! - Because a loss of four euros hurts me extremely. It still went well, but what happens next time ...?
I would like to continue working with Dronelink in the future, but at the moment the entire Dronelink system is too immature for me.
The main reason why I bought a drone, my first drone, the DJI Mavic Mini, I would like to use it mainly for documentation in animals and environmental protection. The forest is dying here on my doorstep. Mainly also by the bark beetle. But the wrong measures are being taken.
I have two months of flight experience, with DJI Fly, 15.9 hours, 35.8 kilometers on 108 flights.
Flying drones is more fun, even though I have never flown a real airplane out of fear of flying ...
But as I said, you at Dronelink have the following basic problems:
1. An immature app. It is important to create an app that allows permanent control!
2. Copying missions and components is extremely cumbersome in the Dronelink Web.
For example: Andrew Busst made good improvements in the Pano component. But setting these for a new location is cumbersome in Dronelink - Web.
3. You have to assume that there is not an online internet connection everywhere!
For example: In my example, I want to take panoramic photos. Here with us, as I said, there is often no online internet access, no mobile network due to the Thuringian mountains!
So I have to work offline! But only one mission is available. That is a little bit!
The offline function should be revised so that more variations are possible. That more locations are possible ... That you can change the height at which panoramic photos are taken offline, without any Java scripts.
@Jim McAndrew
As I wrote earlier, the basic functionality of Dronelink is very, very good. I'll keep an eye on it, but won't use it anymore!
Martin Kraushaar I am not connected to dronelink in any way but what you are doing here is making people think dronelink had to do with connection loss and your drone trouble. That cannot be true in any circumstance. Why???
You can fly the mini with only the controller. You don't even need an app to fly it. No not even the dji fly app. That is because the connection between the controller and the drone is not controlled by the app but by the physical controller. Losing connection is because of high interference, object or trees that are in line of sight yes even microwaves can do that. The app be it DJI fly app or dronelink or litchi can not control that.
As for dronelink that app is nothing more than a piece of software that takes virtual control over the stick commands. If you kill the app on your phone you will gain control over the sticks again. A long push on RTH would have initiate a return to home but only if a connection between controller and drone is established. And yes by design (by DJI) when you are close by (within 20m) and low a RTH means land at the spot. You CANNOT blame dronelink for that and is no reason whatsoever to put dronelink aside!!
