Marker question
Hi,
So here's a plan to fly a golf course hole:
https://app.dronelink.com/steve-fines/territory-golf/plan/7wB0MLxDpLTcCn7agTrv/tZ2KyaauDoqnzyjfDViL
At Marker 1 I point the gimbal down 20deg. The client likes the amount of sky in the image there and wants it to remain that way throughout the video. The camera at this point is pointed straight along the flight path.
Then at Marker 2 I want to aim the camera slightly left of the flight path.
I've tried changing the "Gimbal Heading" at this point to -10deg relative to the flight path, but the software won't accept negative values here. I've tried 350deg. It doesn't change.
I've tried putting in a POI where's I'd like the camera to point and changing Marker 2 to look at it, but then it invariably moves up and down and I lose my horizon consistency.
In the video
Dronelink 101: PT3EP7: MP&E - Controlling The Camera Within Paths
at about 6:45 putting a value of 90 relative to the path sure seemed to work.
What am I missing to get the camera to look left of the flight path?
thanks,

You need to use Drone Heading, not Gimbal heading:
Unless of course you are using a drone with gimbal free mode and want to rotate just the gimbal.
Thanks Jim - I was sure I tried that but I guess I hadn't.
One more marker question - I've revised the path to:
https://app.dronelink.com/steve-fines/territory-golf/plan/7wB0MLxDpLTcCn7agTrv/FOjoYcO8XnBhzdWdsOkm
At 1:07 it makes a sudden move to the left. At 1:08 it looks like it makes a tiny move to the right and then a sudden move to the left.
This is in the middle of Markers 5 and 6 which are set to Curved Interpolation and only have 4 deg of heading difference.
Is there a step I'm missing here?
And is there a donate link for Dronelink? This is the best software - I just need to learn it better.
I think it is an artifact of how the flight path is calculated, which doesn't always make for the smoothest camera moves (when you tie the yaw to the path direction). It seems like you can achieve the desired camera move by just getting rid of marker 6 and changing marker 5 to a POI that is right on the front of the green.
Thanks for the reply.
Yeah - that still gives some jerky camera movements as well.
On a set of markers with both gimbal pitch and gimbal direction I'd like it to be able to interpolate smoothly between both factors.
