I require photo download in real time with the DJI mini 3 during waypoint mission.
I am currently using the DJI mini 3 with the waypoint mission to take photos of an area in a repeated manner, I need the photos as the drone is flying, this is available on the DJI Fly app as you are able to download the photos mid flight. How can I do this with drone link?

Hi Mike, thank you for your reply.
Allow me to clarify, I wish for the photos to be automatically uploaded to the phone so I can subsequently upload it to cloud. I am not sure whether this would be possible.
In the past photos captured were saved in the devices photo album automatically but I don’t think it does this anymore. At least when using my MA2 or my Air 3 no photos are saved in my album automatically anymore. I need to download them manually to my iPad same as with any videos. I don’t think the Mini 3 has anything different in the Fly app settings on how or where to save them but if it does then that would need to be set up in the Fly app. The DL app does not control if or where any media can be saved. I guess the easiest way to see if they are saved to your device is check in the Fly app first to see if they have that option. If it does then open the DL mobile app and trigger several captures and check your devices album. You don’t need to be in flight to do this.
The other thread was about live streaming which is what I thought you meant by in real time. That feature was implemented about a year ago but it is still listed as Beta. I’ve never used it so not sure how it is working. Hope that helps Adam. Enjoy.
Hi Mike,
I tried this on the DJI Fly app and I have a slight correction to make, there is an option 'Auto sync HD photos' however, this feature requires the user to manually download the photos on the RC. Would it be possible to have a feature on dronelink to automatically download photos from RC to the phone or to the cloud. This is empirical for my project as I require real time footage. This is achievable on DJI MSDK however I would much rather use dronelink as I require waypoint missions.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Adam
I don’t know if it’s possible, I don’t work for DL I’m just a pilot like yourself. 99.% of pilots just transfer from the SD card which is very simple. You can use the feature request thread to ask them for this.
Thank you, posted there :)
I'm one of 99% that Mike (Arizona Wyldwest) mentions, I just whip the card out the drone, put it in one of these and save it to a directory on my Dropbox, the beauty of this is if you're out in the field and want to upload to a remote location, you can put it into the phone as it has a UCB C connection
