Linking two separate missions together

Julian Perry

I have two separate AGL missions that I would like to join into one larger mission now that I have new batteries and can't see how to do it. The support videos all talk about expanding a mission by adding new elements but not importing another whole mission from one's repository. If I click 'add' there is no option to import and, since I am not starting from scratch, then the bigger main menu with the 'Import' (from Dronelink) option is not available.

Another post says I should copy the elements of one plan to the clipboard and then to a new plan. So do I start from scratch with a new Waypoint plan and then close that down, open up the first mission and copy all the elements (from where exactly as there are various copying options?) then reopen the new plan and paste?

If I try using the copy option from the three dots at the top right, it ask which repository I want to copy it to which is not what I want - I think. May be it will go to the clipboard aqs well?

Thank you

Open the first mission, select the component and then click copy to clipboard. Open the second mission, click add, and then paste from clipboard.

Having done what Jim McAndrew describes you might have to drag the mission you've copied from clipboard into place to line up with the first mission

The second mission is made up of about 60 waypoints so can I select all of them at once to paste them into the first mission?

You can only copy it at the component level, not individual waypoints. The resulting mission will end up having to waypoint components that will execute one after the other.

Ok, so the best place to copy the waypoint component, with its collection of waypoints, is using the duplicate feature under the word ‘33 waypoints’ in this grab. Then go to the first mission and paste it from the ‘+Add’ option at the bottom right - where the clipboard item will show, and then do the same for the two other waypoint components and the checkpoint? Actually I think now I have to use the 'copy to clipboard' under the three dots and not 'Duplicate'.

Hi. Julian. The DL help section has a lot of articles which I’m sure will help. This one explains how to add to a Repo and save as a component or as it indicates just copy to clipboard. If saved as a component it can then be kept in one of your Repos and reused. Hope that helps. Good luck.
