Changing direction once paused in On The Fly Orbit mode
Hello All,
I'm trying to do a partial orbit in one direction, pause, descend to a lower altitude, then commence the orbit but in the opposite direction. I unpause the orbit after the short Dronelink countdown with the stick already pushing in the other directions but as soon as the countdown finished and the orbits starts, it continues in the original direction for a brief moment, potentially heading for the obstacle I'm trying to avoid. Doesn't seem respond to the right stick's input to go the opposite way instantly. Any way to start the direction change more precisely?

Hi Peter. Have you enabled the sticks during the setup process. Check the DL help section for more info. I’ve included the DL Youtube channel which has a tutorials to include the On the Fly Orbit which may help as well.

Yes I did.
Sorry. I just updated with a link to DL YouTube channel. You should be able to control everything as it states in the help article and video. Unless I’m miss understanding the question.
I'm striving to keep orbit speed steady to get a specific amount of photos. I don't want to use the sticks to gradually stop and change direction because then I lose my original programmed speed.
Check your other post to see if that will work for this situation as well. This way you can edit the mission and set the speed to whatever value you want so it will run at that max speed. You can also change the interval time and then run the mission preview and toggle on capture markers which will show where they are capturing. Then you can adjust as needed. DL is a very powerful app and there may be different ways to get the desired result. However, some functions may not be possible depending on what they anre and how they work. Enjoy.
Thank you but as I mentioned in the other post, what's the point of editing a partially flown on the fly orbit mission if I don't know the altitude for the rest of the orbits. The only way to know that is to actually flow the mission to know, right? Am I missing something?
Check your other post. Basically it will save the entire On the Fly mission as you set it up once it has been executed, not just the flown part. I suggest going through at least some of the DL YouTube tutorials and also the DL help section. It will take time to learn this app due to so much functionality and features.
