All firmware updates are done by DJI fly, so yes you have to open DJI fly occasionally
Thanks so much. I already recognized, that I need to use the DJI Fly App to download the Videos and images as well. So it's a littlebit uncomfortable to handle the two apps. If You don't hard close them, they really don't work propper. But still, it's a workaround, rather than unplug the SD Card.
I always transfer photos and videos to my PC/laptop using a card reader, in fact the latest version of DJI fly doesn't work properly with my galaxy tab 7FE
