Best settings
Good day. I'm curious what the best settings are to do land mapping without crashing? I have a Xiaomi poco x4. mini 3 pro with the rcn1. I'm currently running 82 percent front overlap, 70 percent side, 65 degree camera angle, and doing the grid.
The issue I'm having is when I go to render the photos, I'm left with parts that do not render as it seems that the photos leading up to the crash aren't saved, and when I restart the app and resume mission, it does fly back to where it seems to have failed.
I appreciate the efforts dronelink is making to provide something, but this current setup isn't working for me. Is there anything else people are using to have successful results? Other apps perhaps?
I'm using odm for rendering with 256gb or ram and several processors on some big iron, what does render, renders well. Just missing photo data and can't understand why when I'm doing the grid pattern. Usually flying at 40-60 meters height, ~15kmph,
Thank you,
Chris

The app crashes were fixed awhile ago so not sure why you’re having issues. Which DL version are you using ? The Mini 3’s are out of Beta so it should be stable unless it’s something to do with that device. Have you tried a different device to eliminate that as a possible problem.
Thanks for the reply Mike. Version 4.9.0(2284) kernel 4.9.0 doesn't allow me to connect to the rc or the drone. I'm not sure why? Which is really weird because the older version of dronelink.dji allows me to connect and fly but it seems to be the same version at 4.9.0(284) kernel 4.9.0? I have 2 versions of the drone link app on my device. The one I downloaded the other day to try it again won't connect to the remote or the drone. rcn1. I'm thinking of uninstalling both apps and trying the latest link from DL to see if that solves it. What do you think?
OK , so there are 2 Dronelink apps,Dronelink which is based on MSDK4, which is good drones pre the mini 3(mini 2,A2S etc), then there is Dronelink DJI, which is based on MSDK5, for the mini 3,they both have the same version numbers, so uninstall all versions you have then go to Dronelink.com/download and follow the wizard
Yeah get rid of all the DL Apps like Martin said and I’d even delete all the APK’s you may have on the device. Then download from the link. Mini 3 Pro and RC-N1.
