Mini 3 Pro video pixelated

Samsung S20FE Android 13 4.8.3 (280) Kernel 4.8.1 While flying a mapping mission, I paused the flight and changed from still photos to video. When I started recording video the feed was pixelated to the point of being unrecognizable. I again paused the flight, reselected photos, resumed the flight and completed with no issue. I'd attach screen shots to illustrate but I can't locate where/ how to attach to this post.

2nd issue - Upon launch of that mapping mission, the estimated flight time read 0:00, although the percentage showed 78%. 45 seconds into the flight the flight time estimate showed as 28:16 and remained accurate for the rest of the flight. Any Ideas why?

Can you upload the video to YouTube or similar and post a link?

Are you able to reproduce the 2nd issue and also post a screen recording?

    Link for the pixelated content.

Link for remaining flight time error.

Regarding the flight time error, I only have this recording available,  but have noticed it at least twice since I started using this software earlier this week.

    Thanks for any feedback.

Jim McAndrew, I think I've seen that here, if weather allows I'll try and check it tomorrow and did a screen recording

Regarding the number 2 question. I believe it has changed a bit from the way it worked awhile back. My Air 3 which can only be used with the DJI Fly app and my MA2 which I use with the DJI or DL app works the same and only indicates the flight time once they are in the air. Once the time is displayed it varies a bit and usually goes up as I’m flying for the first minute or so. Im not sure when they changed this and on which drones but I’m guessing it’s the firmware which controls the information. If the Mini 2 is working the same as well then maybe it was changed with a firmware update at some point. Since it works the same with the DJI Fly app on both my drones I’d say it’s not a DL issue. Issue 1 could be the device not being powerful enough to run a mapping component while recording video to the storage but it’s just a guess at this point. I’m sure if it is a DL issue they will look into it.

Issue #1. Pixelization seems to have been an anomaly as retesting today multiple recordings are acceptable, no pixelization. Possibly a screen recording issue and since my previous drone video was deleted, I can't confirm this. I did discover that the method for switching from still photos to video while the mission is in progress is to simply select the film icon and switch to video. When I paused the mission, switched to video, then resumed the mission, still photos continued.

Issue #2. I have successfully duplicated the 0:00 flight time remaining issue. Link below shows again flight time is not shown until approximately :30 seconds in flight. I confirmed my DJIFLY app was force closed prior to launching the DL app.

    J. Wilcox. As I stated in my post this is normal whether using DJI or DL app. Both my drones work the same way. It can’t estimate the flight time until it is in the air. Test it by just connecting the drone as usual with the DJJ Fly and letting it sit there without launching. I just did it with my MA2 and it doesn’t give estimated flight time, just battery percentage. This won’t change anything and not important when it comes to flight. You could contact DJI in their forum and ask why but I’ve read a couple threads regarding this and the answer is the same.

A suggestion regarding the recording video. The next time you run a DL mission make sure you have gone into the device settings and have force closed all other apps which may be running in background. Any app regardless of what they are can be using up resources which can slow down the processing performance of any device. I have only used iPads with my drones for over 3 years with DL but I still make sure no apps are still running before using DL. Then I power off the device and restart it fresh. I’ve never had an issue doing it this way and it takes no time to check it. Enjoy.
