DJI SDK on iOS

Alex Nicholson
It looks like DJI isn’t supporting iOS with the MSDK going forward. I fly a Mavic Air 2 and DroneLink is my go to for waypoints and any kind of automation. In my head, it sounds like my older drone will continue to work but newer drones will need to use an Android device to work. Can anyone confirm that’s the case? I can break out my old Note 9 if I have to, but just curious how DJI’s decision affects this

Yep that is correct, mind you what drones will be supported with 3rd party apps using what controllers in the future is unclear, apparently the mini 4 will only support 3rd party apps on the enterprise controller which doesn't bode well

The other thing to consider if that iOS gets updated periodically.  If you don't update your device you will be able to run Dronelink, but other software...maybe not.  Once you update iOS there will be no guarantees that DL (or any other 3rd party software of DJI) will continue to run.
