Came across this article via facebook which indicates Mini4 will be added to MSDK5 in the first half of next year

We spoke with DJI a few days ago about this and they confirmed as much, but it seems like they only intend to support the SDK when it is paired with their enterprise controller.

I not holding my breath but I do hope they decide to build the SDK for the Air 3 before doing another Mini. Not sure why they wouldn’t but it’s anyone’s guess what DJI’s plans are. 🤪

Mike (Arizona Wyldwest), I think we may have seen the end of SDK's at consumer level sadly

Maybe but if so then the Mini’s are consumer series and they would not continue with the Mini 4.

Mike (Arizona Wyldwest), but the mini 4 is only going to be Enterprise controller, from what Jim said

lol. Ok. Doesn’t make it a Enterprise drone and they could do the same thing with the Air 3. Anyway, it’s all become a mess by DJI in my opinion.

Totally agree, and as you know I'm an Android user, but I think they made a mess of things when they went Android only, and kicked iOS support in to touch

Agree. I love my Air 3 which has the waypoints and it works fantastic. I can convert the KMZ file and Import a CSV file into DL and run the mission preview in two quick steps. For now I’m more than happy with everything it offers. Amazing drone. Enjoy.

DJI's SDK positioning is just begging for a competitor to come along and open this right up.

yeah someone come up with a nice sub 250g spec with a good SDK that folk like Dronelink can work with at a good price, working on both Android & iOS, life could get interesting

If I'm getting it right, Enterprise controller is around 800 euros?
Slightly above that is a price for drone and dji RC2...

Yep that's it, this is a decision that DJI have made, so you'll have a couple of choices:

    1. Buy the overpriced mini4 with the overpriced Enterprise controller
    2. Get a slightly overpriced mini3 with either an overpriced RC Pro or RC-N1 with an Android device of your choice
    3. Get a mini2 with an RC-N1 and choose if you want to go with Android or iOS

Personally I'm sticking with my Mini2, RC-N1 and Galaxy tab 7FE combination

And a long wait as DJI has stated. Mid next year is roughly June so who knows what they may be doing by then.
