RC location missing while flying missions

Padmasinh Patil

I am currently using DJ I air 2S drone for flying missions.

From recent updates to draw link app while flying machines the live location of RC (remote controller) is not showing which is very painful while flying the drone.

Please suggest a solution for the same

The Controller doesn’t have GPS, it uses your device. So If using a WiFi only device they do not have GPS and it may not be accurate. If the device your using does have GPS then you may want to change the Distance Reference in the DL app settings to Device instead of home. Not sure if that is what you’re asking about but the only thing I can think of.

    Nope
When I was flying missions I use my mobile phone along with 4g connection and gps
As I move during a ongoing mission with the controller the live location and direction of controller was shown which stopped after recent updates
I was using that feature to move near to drone location to save some battery while replacing with new one

Flew a couple missions today and my devices location is indicated on map the screen. Can you share a screenshot or short recording of the issue ? Not sure what you mean by “direction of controller” as it should just be a small dot, probably blue and has no direction indicator. Also which DL version are you using ?

    Hello

I am currently using DJI air 2S and RC-N1 mobile is Samsung S21

During flying missions the blue dot near home point is not visible in my DL app since last few updates

It is showing during planning of missions

As I start the missions the blue dot disappears🔵

The blue dot is disabled on Android due to a bug in the Mapbox library that we have not found a solution for yet.

    Hi,

I just came to the forum to post the same issue.

Is there currently any workarounds for this? As Padmasinh said, it is a very useful feature for managing battery change efficiency.

on 6th and 7th Nov I flew some missions

the absence of Blue dot created a lot of problems for me when I was in a dense forest.

I almost lost my drone bcoz I didn't had battery available for RTH and needed to land drone near to RC location
the maps are also very old and they don't even give a nearby idea where that RC location is
Kindly create a solution for same

I would like to report a new bug to DL expert staff
Currently by default my Drone location is shown near to Africa Continent
    Never went there
Many cases drone tries to move to Africa Continent then start missions in India
In that case need to close DL app mid flight and reconnect drone with app the. It shows drone in India.

you need to connect the drone for your location to show on there

After connecting as well it shows same location, even acquiring 19+ satellite signals
