Inspire 1 camera problem

Harry Isbell

Hello Support,
I am trying to use my inspire 1 to map air-field for testing and once the mission starts the camera Zem X3 turns the left and stays pointed to the left and the mission ends saying the camera stopped taken pictures.

Mission for your review

The camera commands you have at the end of plan will only be implemented after the map is completed so those don’t matter. It should have still taken the photos based on your map settings. Any camera command needs to be implemented to set the camera before any component. Don’t know why the camera is not forward since the plan shows it’s correct. Maybe an issue with that camera or gimbal.

Thank you for a quick response,  these settings where just added today. With out any camera settings,  map or any other functions the camera just turns a locks to the left.

This camera works fine in all the other app's i have but dronelink. Do you have any other solutions then my camera is at fault or gimbal is at fault?  I would be glad to show you a video of the gimbal and camera working fine with all the other done mapping apps.

Is the gimbal mode in free or yaw follow? Can you show a screen recording?

Should be Follow mode just like when using DJI App which keeps the gimbal facing forward.

    Hello Mike,

So change the setting in DJI go to follow mode then use drone link,  and try a mission again.
Also,   Is there any camera command to force this.

The settings stick across apps so once set in DJI app it there is no need to set again. There are a lot of camera, gimbal, drone and other commands you can set in the plan but you can only use what the drone is capable of performing. If you want to look through all of the possible commands for each of these just click + add, commands, advanced and you will see the functions. Just realize there are many commands in those and not all of them will work on every drone. Only commands which the drone is capable of performing will work. Basic rule is, if it doesn’t work with the DJI app then it won’t work with DL. Most important ones are camera commands to set the camera at beginning of plan which can be added into a component list so it can then be added from your Repos with a couple clicks. This way you won’t need to add each camera command on every plan over and over. If you need additional help there are plenty of pilots here to assist. Enjoy.

    Hello All,

OK I was out at the air-field again today   The gimbal,  Zenmuse X3 turned to the left again and canceled the mission.
Drone link staff do you have any solutions to this problem?

    Litchi,
    Map Pilot Pro,

These  two apps above control the gimbal with out failure.

Did you put the gimbal in yaw follow mode? Can you share screen recording?

Yes, I can make a video.  However this only happens in-flight.
Take off and the camera is fine, When landing you can see it's back to the left again
