Does the Hover command attempt to keep the drone at that location or merely stop in place?

Mainly checking to see if this can help with precise, repeatable positions affected by wind.

It stops at the set location and hovers for your set amount of time then continues. In general it is used to hover and take video or photos while not moving. You may want to also look at “Full Stop photo” camera action or photo component depending on your plan.

Thanks Mike, so if I understand, it does not attempt to maneuver the drone to maintain its position but does just stop where the command is initiated? Thanks for the info on "Full Stop Photo".

Check out this short video I shot earlier today, the timelapse was a 10, minute long hover

Yes. It would be no different then flying manually and letting go of the sticks. More wind means more movement of course which you can see in Martins hyper-lapse. If just wanting one single photo then I’d suggest using one of the photo components I mentioned. As usual there can be several ways to set up a plan so it will depend on what you need. Great support here so if you need any assistance to get your plan set up the way you want others can help. Enjoy….

It relies on the DJI onboard position hold - as Mike stated - like you just let go of the sticks while flying manually.

Think as ever the mini2 did fairly well, as the wind was  coming from the left rear, drone is pointing on a bearing of 302
