How do I increase the amount of photos taken on a missioned flight.

Had great fun using the grid mapping function today. Flying at around 50feet. I'd really like to increase the amount of photos for the drone to automatically take on its journey. But I can't seem to find the function, if there is one. Flying with my DJI mini 2 using the elite package.

Set the cameras photo capture intervals. I suggest bookmarking this link which has a ton of help articles for many other features/ functions and some tutorial videos which may help. As always when more help is needed there are many pilots here to assist. Enjoy.

Yeah, I as trying to keep it simple which is what I suspected was needed. When using the On the Fly mapping missions then you may need to set the camera interval time in the DL app prior to running it. Otherwise it will capture at the interval time which was last used whether with DL or DJI app which is stored in the drones firmware. I’m fairly sure it doesn’t have an interval time selection when setting it up. Also you can only use an interval time which the drones firmware allows. So in general most of those DJI drones can capture at 2, 3, 5, 7, 10 seconds and a few others. I’d check the specs for which drone you use but most are the same common intervals. Any other interval time will not work.

  • Mike & Patrick, the advice I'm receiving is brilliant here. Really making Drone flying a lot of fun.

Patrick: great advice, not sure if my DJI mini 2 will have the capability. Somewhat out of my depth but definitely willing to learn and listen.

Mike: thank you much I'll those links and take your advice on board. Silly as it sounds could I just not disable/turn of automatic interval. And just manually press the photo shutter on the app every second. "That sounded right in my head, but probably not doable"

    Not doable for several reasons

    1. You can't press the button quick enough
    2. 2 seconds is about three quickest you can hope for as even the quickest SD card isn't quick enough at saving to get any better
