can't login with new PC, laptop still works though

Sean Johnson

My new Windows 10 PC cannot login to the Dronelink website but my Windows 10 laptop can and my Android devices have no issues with the app.  After entering username & password on my PC and selecting login, the bar underneath login just keeps scrolling.  Tried searching but couldn't find anything like this so hoping someone can help.

Try deleting all the browsing history and cache first. If that doesn’t work you can try this link. It’s not DL it’s your browser and/or the PC settings. Also if using a VPN that may be an issue.

Thanks Mike - disabled NordVPN, cleared cache and history in Chrome then tried Firefox and Edge - no go.  What you're saying makes sense so I guess I'll keep plugging away.

    Cheers,

    Sean

Yeah it does sound like something in settings, VPN, router etc. This may not help but thought I’d send it. Frustrating I’m sure and when you figure it out you will probably be like me, Duhhhh. lol…..

Without knowing what the difference is between the laptop and desktop it is hard to offer any advice on how to get past it as it clearly appears to be device specific.

A lot of new PCs come with bloatware antivirus - and it's not all good.

It's possible that your PCs bundled anti-malware has Dronelink on a blacklist.  Try disabling the firewall and/or antivirus and see if that works.  If it does, turn it back on and then figure out how to whitelist the Dronelink URL.

Better yet - remove whatever bloatware antivirus came with the PC.  When you do that the free Microsoft version will automatically become active and you can save yourself wasting money on the paid anti-malware.
