5MF Flying in 3D in Google Earth Pro
Being able to see exactly what your drone is going to do during a flight in 3D is a game changing tool for safety, and to let your clients know exactly what they will receive.
I use this so much it never occurred to me to do a video on it before.

Enjoy!

Barry Houldsworth - Have you tried flying your missions "in the past" using the Google Earth Timeline? It's interesting.

Wow - that did not occur to me. I knew the history in GE was there but it would be interesting to try that!
Love this feature
Yeah this is really handy especially if you've imported your own photos into google earth
I tried importing a Tiff today into google earth pro and it came out really badly
I tried the scale and create super overlay option
Altitude clamped to ground
It was wa building site and everything was flat including houses!
Very different application - what were you trying to do, update GE with the latest imagery to give a current fly through?
Just playing around really to see what happens !
I have two large jobs. I’ve already use this function on to preplanned Barry. It’s absolutely brilliant and gives me tons of confidence. Thanks for doing this.!
Ernie
Combine that with a verification mission on site and you can get really close to stuff with confidence.

Indeed. Really opened up my world moving over to Dronelink.
Ernie, I don't fly using anything else, DJI fly is just used for updating firmware👍
Agreed Martin. While DJI has built some great hardware…they continue to fail on the software side. It’s amazing I have just learned about Dronelink. A friend referred me. Best move I could have made.
