Dronelink DJI mini se follow me altitude problem
Using the Dronelink follow me function with my DJI Mini Se and my Huwaei p30 pro phone, I noticed that it had no problems following me however whenever I walk/cycle down a hill the drone maintains the same altitude which I want it to lower its altitude to follow me at the same distance. Is there any way of setting up Dronelink to automatically reduce the height in follow me mode when going down a hill, or will I need to get a phone with a barometer in it? My P30 pro phone doesnt have this.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

When you set up follow mode, there is a question asking about this in the Wizard
If the phone can't track altitude, neither can DL.
Thanks for the advice Martin and Jim, will consider getting new phone, due an upgrade anyway.
I’ll add a bit more info which may help and you can test it anywhere. As Martin mentioned, the process when setting it up will make a difference. Select relative to ground so it will stay at a fairly constant altitude. If you enable the sticks for distance and altitude while flying you can control the drone and ascend, descend or move farther back or closer. Remember when setting it up to set it at least a minimum of 30’ away as instructed from you and I’d suggest a bit farther back otherwise if too close it will act erratically. This has happen with other pilots because it was way too close so better to set a bit farther away. I’d try again somewhere and go through each step and ensure you have the relative to ground altitude enabled. Should be easy to test. It’s always worked great for me while riding in an area which the elevation increases a lot over time. I did a quick look at the P30 Pro and it indicates it has a barometer and obviously GPS or it would not even work. Hope this helps. Enjoy.
Maybe this tutorial will help.
