Waypoint mission photographing long stretch of road from the side?
I have a waypoint plan in mind that I can't seem to figure out how to configure. I've gone through the waypoint mission components at Waypoints Mission Component – Dronelink, and watched several tutorials, but I'm still not quite getting my first mission to work the way I'd like. Could I describe what I'm trying to do and get some pointers for the help files I should read? Can you see a waypoint mission in my account?
I want to fly parallel to the road at a distance defined by the waypoints and maintain the camera framed up on the road (flying sideways along the route)
- Waypoint 1
- Set gimbal yaw and pitch at Waypoint 1 (to follow a road from the side)
- Set altitude to 200ft AGL
- Set interval photos throughout the entire mission.
- At each successive waypoint, adjust altitude with AGL reference, adjust gimbal yaw and pitch to maintain alignment with the road
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Suggest you use waypoints only for path coordinates and then add Path Actions between waypoints for all other parameters. Use waypoints to set and path and path curvature.
Dronlink used ATL altitude; it does not measure AGL. So, adjust your altitude from takeoff at each path action to accommodate any changes in ground elevation. Adjust drone heading at any path actions along the path; setting can be according to path or compass settings.
Make sure any camera commands are in proper sequence to match the sequence you would use if setting directly in DJI Fly.
So basicaly you are looking for something like this

You can select ground level for the altitudes in a waypoint component.
Here is an example of what you want:

Thanks, Jim. In your example, it looks like you used "drone heading" and "gimbal pitch" on each waypoint to aim the camera. I was trying to use "gimbal heading." It only just occurred to me that that setting is likely only applicable to drones like an M300 or Inspire with separate gimbal control.
I'll make that adjustment and try my test mission later today.
Thanks!
John
