Feedback for Beta (Mini 3 Pro) - Performance & Stability Non-flight regime - UPDATED!!!! NOW FLOWN
Hello All:
I wanted to give some feedback as to non-flight regime software stability and performance status during my navigating of the Dronelink software while connected to my DJI Mini 3 Pro. Hardware/software listed below (as of 4-25-2023):
- DJI Mini 3 Pro with v01.00.0600
- RC-N1 Controller with v1.10.1
- Moto G Power 128GB running Android 12
- 128GB SD Card in both the Smartphone and Drone
- Dronelink DJI App (for modern DJI drones) v4.6.0 (254) Kernal 4.6.0
PLEASE NOTE: I HAVE NOT TEST FLOWN THE DRONE - THIS IS A STATIC TEST AND I'VE NOT PAID FOR HOBBYIST OR PROFESSIONAL ACCESS. I was simply trying to connect my drone to the Dronelink app to get telemetry, camera image, and play with settings.
Issues Detected:
- Once connected to the drone and loading up the telemetry/map interface, going from menu to menu (camera, gimbal, etc.) causes a crash. This seemed to happen ONLY WHEN I was connected to a wifi source other than the drone's. In other words, if I disconnect from wifi sources (say my home's wifi) and the phone is only connected to the drone's wifi, this crash does not occur. So make sure you are not connected to any other wifi source when connected to the drone via Dronelink's app. This also must be done in order to use DJI's own Quick Transfer of files from the drone to your phone.
- DJI's Fly app definitely needs to be killed before using the Dronelink app. This has been already indicated but I can confirm it as well.
- Dronelink's app needs to be killed before using the DJI Fly app. If I do not kill the Dronelink app, DJI's Fly app will load but will not connect to the drone. The introduction screen showing the Connection Guide, Album, SkyPixel, etc. will only load and the drone will not connect to the DJI Fly app.
Interestingly, Map Pilot Pro also makes an app similar to Dronelink but I cannot use it as their website indicates the following:
- DJI has limited the Enterprise version to only support Android versions 7 through 11.
I can verify this to be the case with their app because as soon as the MPP app detects my drone, a message stating that my phone isn't compatible pops up (and indeed I am running Android 12).
I find it odd that DJI would not support the latest Android versions. Had I know, I'd not have updated my phone.
This is for now. I am hoping to purchase the Hobbyist Premium plan or become a Beta tester.
Anyway, hope this helps.

Omar Rodriguez, are you sure you've set all permissions and also force closed DJI Fly app through settings on your device
Cómo estás? Si...

DJI MINI3 RCN1 HONOR 70 - Android 13 DJI Fly -Latest version DjiMini3 Firmware Latest Version Good morning. Yesterday I tested the new version 4.8.3, I used the usual flight plan that I have always used in previous tests. I was positively surprised. Finally the app didn't have any crashes. I had no problem returning the video preview. Everything worked perfectly. Unfortunately, about 3/4 of the way through the mission I filled up the memory card, the flight continued without problems but almost at the end of the mission, precisely 7 seconds from the end, the error relating to the Photo/Gimbal apparatus appeared, I didn't have I read the contents of the message so I don't know if it is caused by the full memory card, but the mission was paused and I brought the drone back to land manually. The mission I have planned is a photogrammetry operation. The DJI fly app had just been updated, the Mini3 firmware just updated, Android system updated. However I feel we are very close to perfection. Over the next few days I will try to launch the mission with an empty memory card and will keep you updated.
Martin Reading, i still have same problem as Omar.
Even when allowing all permissions.
I guess it is due to last msdk version.
Hola Stephan...
Omar Rodriguez, which phone do you have ?
Stephan, tengo un Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 S.
We don’t know why it is happening because the video preview comes from code in the DJI SDK, but we will attempt to reproduce it on other hardware and let DJI know.
Sure Jim McAndrew, I think it comes from sdk, and is Phone dependent. I have good result with one Samsung model, and bad result with another Samsung model.
I am using the good one pending dji update.
Thanks, anyone experiencing a similar issue, please post the phone and Android version so we can report to DJI.

Good evening.
I have a DJI Mini 3 PRO and RC-N1 remote control. I bought access to a Premium account. I have downloaded the application Betta version 4.8.3. I try to run the mission and get this message (screenshot attached). Can you please help me, what is the reason why I can't connect? Before I bought it, I never saw anywhere that it was said that the Premium account does not support DJI Mini 3 PRO.
Is IT dronelink DJI? You must download this version frome the site, no dronelink from plat store.
I have downloaded this app from here
That's ok
I tried to log out of the account in the app on my smartphone (connected to the RC-N1). As soon as I log into the account (Premium), I get a message: "Premium accounts do not support the DJI Mini 3 PRO". The app see the drone.
It's a bug.
As I understand the Dronelink Staff are looking into this problem currently. The guys contacted me via private message. Hopefully they will fix it
The problem was because the phone system was in Cyrillic. I switched to English and everything worked.
Gracias.
Today I have flown the first mission on the Mini 3 Pro. Everything worked great. No problems. Just in fact I got 242 photos, not 320. I will process the result later, hopefully it will be fine. Thanks to developers!

Tutto aggiornato
Good morning, This morning I launched my usual test mission. I started it 3 times, the first error due to photo acquisition, unfortunately I was unable to take a screenshot of the error message, so I interrupted the mission, stopped the app and subsequently successfully ran the mission twice without any problems of problem.
However, no app crashes
My mini 3 pro with rc-n1 controller, with Xiaomi poco x3 phone was working, albeit crashing lots, a few months back, had to take the app off my phone at some point, when I reinstalled, no video feed, and getting an error message sometimes.
Running latest firmware on everything, phone says it's running Android 12.
Nice and handy of Dji to completely brick the software for some of us. I wish their was actual competition for DJI, it's shit that their only supporting mission planning on their most expensive drones now.
I miss my mavic 2 zoom 😭
Here's the error message I've been getting.
Any idea if this will be resolved in the near future?
Is the drone model name briefly flashing "unknown" in the top right and then showing Mini 3 pro? Does it let you fly a mission even after this message?
