Change speed between 2 waypoints on DJI Waypont mission
Hi! I have a DJI Waypoint type mission with 2 concentric orbits, they are very different in size. This mission have been converted from orbits in a Virtual Stick mode mission, so DL arranged the number of waypoints, turning radius, all automatic for me. So far, so good.
So i make the big orbit first, then at the end of the orbit (with a 20 degreees overlap, in purpose) the drone needs to move from the exit point of the 1st orbit to the entry point of the 2nd orbit, which are far away from one each other.
The problem is that this movement is done in the same speed of the second orbit, which is only 0.8Km/h. The orbit itself should be made at this slow speed, but the transition from orbit 1 to orbit 2 cannot be that slow, because it takes me almost 4 minutes of battery. I have tried to change the speed of the second orbit's entry waypoint, but id didn't change anything.
Appreciate help from someone. This is the mission:

Hi Pedro Silva, you need to make the mission public so that we can look at it
Sorry Martin Reading i think i have changed something by mistake.
Please use this link, i have tested now from another computer/network and it opened without a problem:

Please notice that the speeds from the orbits are mandatory, the big one 8.8kmh and the small 0.9kmh.
I just want to increase the cruise speed between the orbits, to say 10Kmh.
Thanks!
Pedro.
I believe this is one of many limitations when converting to DJI Waypoints. However, I believe if you adjust the approach speed to the second Orbit on the original plan first before converting it may work. Can you share the original plan so I can take a look and try a couple things. Unless you can figure it out now. Good luck.
Yes, sure!

Thanks!
Can you set a higher speed at the first waypoint?
I tried. It maked the entire orbit fly at that higher speed. That was the first thing i tried. I changed only the speed of point A of second orbit. Also tried changing the speed of last waypoint of 1st orbit and also both, none work. Always it takes that higher speed from that point on.
*It makes
Set a higher speed on the first one and a slower speed on the second one.
I figured out on the DJI Waypoint plan. It took a bit but changed the second Orbits speed to 8 mph instead of .6 mph. However, I then had to change the speed on each waypoint to .6 mph on that Orbit.
See if this works for you. I don’t use onboard waypoints but for some reason it will not allow me set higher then 8 mph. If I do it gives a warning about Drone Off Course. Anyway, the plan is about 3-1/2 minutes faster with the approach to second Orbit at 8 mph. Good luck and Enjoy.

Hi Mike (Arizona Wyldwest)!
Based on our great comment i found a bit easier way. What happens is that the speed you set for the 1st waypoint on the orbit will spread on the entire orbit. So, what i did (and worked) is:
1) Set the orbit speed to the cruise speed you want the drone to move to the entry point.
2) Set the 1st waypoint of each orbit to the real speed you want the orbit to be done.
This way you don't need to set individually all the waypoints, so it is much quicker.
Well, about using waypoints... I am new user and i learned from other topics that the flight could be much smoother if we use onboard waypoints instead of virtual stick. I had a bad experience trying virtual stick, because always when the drone is about o start the first orbit i get an error message and cannot fly the mission. Jim McAndrew said it should work if i reboot he drone, but it doesn't. There is no problem with he drone or gimbal stuff, i can fly other missions on virtual stck without any problem, only these ones with my orbits is that it happens. No idea on the reason. So, as the DJI waypoints mode doesn't give me this error, i am only using it.
Anyway, thanks a lot!
Pedro.
