Mavic Mini 3 pro - Mapping Camera

Matthew Anson

Which camera should we use when testing using the beta and a mavic Mini 3 pro? It doesn't appear to be an option, is that something that will be added?

I believe the settings should be as below: (These are what I am using under Custom at the moment)

Lens Focal Length: 6.72

Sensor Width: 9.7

Sensor Height: 7.3

Image Width: 4032

Image Height: 3024

Hi Matt, I'm working on the same thing.  I see you are going off the 12MP data vs the 48MP image that I was calculating.

Hi, yes - at this stage I was using the 'normal' single photo as these seem to process quicker when in flight.

I will follow your thread as well for the higher res image too :)

    Hello people,

I am searching for the same data. Nice to see some progress here.
I am little confused I have found multiple sources with a Lens Focal Length of 24mm

I didn't found legit sizes for the sensor but on webpage these:
    Sensor Width 13,2mm
    Sensor Height 8,8mm
    Image Width 4032px
    Image Height 3024px

However I am in anyway confused of the big focal length. And the preview is looking wrong anyways for me.
    Hopefully your settings are correct:-)

Focal length calculates based on the sensor size and distance from the sensor. Usually companies quote focal length converted to the standard full frame of a 35mm film camera. This way the number has relative meaning to everyone. The focus length is in the image EXIF, but you’ll notice how DJI says approx focal length that is much larger? That’s the translated equivalent.

I made a very rough comparison with my mobile. Seems to match very good.

And thanks for the explanation Ozy.

And of course thanks Jim for your effort.
