Is it possible to create a waypoint using GPS coorginates?
Is it possible to create a waypoint using GPS coorginates? Would like to be able to set the start and end of a path, in preparation for a photo using GPS lat/long.
It seems there might be a method to set the lat/long for the waypoint start (first waypoint). Not sure if there is a method to set the lat/long for the remaining waypoints.

It also seems like when I set a GPS coordinate for a "Photo" component, the GPS lat/long reverts after I attempt to modify it.
Very possible!
What I do is I have created a plan that has four waypoints. I move that reference to the new general area of the location, then I go in and type in the coordinates for the four corners (or more) for the property I am flying. This is exactly why I use Dronelink. Sometimes out in the middle of nowhere I would never know where the property I am filming is supposed to me, thank god for this ability. : )
And yes, I have noticed the reversion thing you are talking about. It is all about entering the coordinates, then move to next field. Sometimes I have to go back to get the lat/long input correctly.
Hi Tony, are you referring to a waypoint mission?
Or are you talking about setting up corners of a mapping mission?
I am trying to set coordinates for a waypoint mission, specifically setting coordinates for each of the, lets say 8 waypoints.
Waypoints not mapping.
Are you able to share a screen shot? Having trouble finding a place for each individual waypoint to modify the lat/long.

Oh, you have to put it into Expert mode.
Then you should see the lat / long
Here's a mission I am flying tomorrow where I did exactly that. The waypoints go around the property first.

I do have it set to Expert mode - curious as to what "Jim" mode is..

I can see the "starting waypoint" lat/long
However, when I then select one of the remaining coordinates the Lat/Long is not shown.
(appreciate your help with the by the way :) )
Oh no worries. Sorry, i remember this, but do it all the time and now forget how I got here. Jim mode was a top secret mode. : ) But as I recall, I had to click something a few times to get to it. I think it was exactly because of what you are asking.
Jim McAndrew - looks like another user wanted to do what I do with regards to programming the waypoints precisely. How did I get to Jim mode again? Sorry, its been so long, I forgot the secret handshake to tell Matthew Anson.
figured out what JIM mode is! https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/6440699906707-Mission-Planner-Mode-Normal-Expert
After performing the action to get int Jim mode I was able to then view the lat/long for each waypoint! Success :)
Oh wait, i remember. Click 5 times in the version area. And Jim mode will be enabled. It likely has a few cautions, like - be careful. : )
Oh sweet, I see I posted after you found it. Nicely done and enjoy! It sure makes my life easier!
I believe it’s 7 clicks but who’s counting lol…
Spot on, I guess in my frantic clicking to make Jim mode appear, I lost count. Has to be a Dirty Harry movie reference about losing count in all the excitement! : )
Thanks again all for the help with this one.

Just to add another image for future reference and some info.
For a 'Photo' component there is an "Altitude Range" which doesn't determine the location. Instead you need to follow the "Start" button which then allows the lat/long to actually be adjusted.
