How to capture a series of images over one spot while ascending?

Tim B

How would one go about taking a series of photos over a given spot while ascending? For example, at a specific spot over a garden, capture a vertical  image at an altitude of 50 feet then another photo at the exact same location at 100 feet, another at 150 feet, etc. etc. ?

That's really simple, set up a blank plan, add the photo component and frame your photo by either using a POI or changing the drone heading and gimbal angle, then just click on the duplicate button

once you've duplicated the photo component, just change the altitude on the new component to what you want, and rinse and repeat for subsequent photos

Here you can see a mission with 3 photos at 50,100, 150 feet https://app.dronelink.com/martin-reading/kingsmead/plan/aafuUFKM9YzA5Rp2wKvk/QWkp0DiTljQkWQUD7NyE

Just bare in mind that the photos may not be all at the same exact point due to weather conditions, GPS accuracy etc, but they are going to be close

Oh sure, simple if you know what you're doing! :-)

But seriously, yeah I figured it was something pretty simple but after playing around w/ placing positions it did not occur to me to simply use "duplicate". Your demo demonstrates the process well. Thanks much.

Of course I could do something like this just from the DJI app, but the goal was to make a repeatable process, thus a DL mission.

Tim B, I came across duplicate sometime back when originally trying to sort different layers/levels for mapping missions, it's a godsend for that
