Basic Waypoint with Photo Mission Slow

Regan Reckman
Any tips or help would be appreciated. I am setting up construction monitoring where it will fly to several locations and take a series of photos at each location. The waiting time between photos is pushing the mission into 50 minutes for 185 shots. Is there anyway to speed up the process? I used to use DJI GS Pro for this type of mission and it was much faster, it would rapidly shoot the photos within a couple seconds of each other at each waypoint then move on. Using POIs to direct the camera. Using joystick mode. P4Pro. https://app.dronelink.com/regan-reckman/share-vbRUtI63YHub3TBy4b1M/plan/z0mBG2RyeS0hkAnCjAYP/YnhrVorGe9YR1JmAUAel

Ok, if you look at the settings for each photo, at the top you'll see a field that says start

if yo click on that, and look down you'll see an Arrivals field, the default arrivals time is 4 seconds

reduce this to 1 second on all the photos and you'll save just over 9 minutes (184*3 = 552 seconds/60 = 9.2 minutes)

Perhaps a better option would not be to use the photo component but, instead, create a path that the drone will follow and then add actions along that path.

You can set POIs along the way to change the focus area.

That way, the drone will not slow down and, as long as you are not going so fast that you introduce motion blur, the whole mission would be cleaner and faster.

    Something like this:  https://app.dronelink.com/barry-houldsworth/testing-and-training/plan/qJMpxGZ8nUWw7DJBFuyZ/b5PPWqDpnixRPqPqh6Td

Nice one Barry Houldsworth, that certainly makes sense, the other thing you could do is set the auto capture on the waypoints component to photo, then set the POI's on the path actions as you want

Thanks Guys. The path mission works really well for this use case with the P4P's mechanical shutter.
