Record a flight in cinematic mode

Andrés Vélez

I am wondering if the elite plan includes the posibility of record a live flight and repeat the flight a few days after.   Can i do it in cine mode?

The answer is no, as the SDK requires that the controller be in normal mode, however whatever plan you have you can go back to the same site and fly the same mission as many times as you like, however don't expect the flights to be perfect duplicates of each other, due to different weather conditions, satellite position, GPS accuracy, KP index etc

Putting aside that you can't run missions in DL in cinematic mode, this video will show you how to take your previous flights and convert them into missions so that you can run them over and over

This is a learning question I have for people who know. Is there a difference in Cine vs Normal other than the speed at which the drone flies? I know too, the controls in DJI app can be adjusted for response by changing the associated response curves but I do not think this applies in DL Joystick mode anyway.

So my question may be: "What is the practical difference in Cine mode vs just add flight speed parameters in DL to slow the flight speed down? (Additionally one could also check "High Wind Tolerance" since that is supposed to slow thing down also?)

    Just curious. . .

My understanding is that high wind tolerance doesn't slow the drone down, it just stops the mission from aborting if (for example) it is falling behind because it can't run at the speed specified in the mission.

I think you are correct.  Those changes don't apply to virtual stick missions, so no practical reason.

Now...on a real edge case, I have an Inspire 2 with a Cendance controller.  The Cendance has sliders that allow you to adjust the stick function from 100% to about 30%.  Anecdotally, it seems to be that those sliders do affect the mission.

No need to fly in Cine/ Tripod mode. Just slow down the drones speed and and if needed you can adjust the Acceleration and Deceleration on several settings. Vertical, Horizontal and even Rotation. Really don’t need to though as I’ve flown mission at 3 to 5 mph in some sections of a plan and looks nice and smooth.
