Double Grid Question

Spencer Ryan

Hey All,

If I'm looking at building 3D models I've seen posts about running "double grid" captures. I'm just doing this for fun (Hobbyist/Elite)

Given the fact that I can run Grid Maps, do you recommend running 1 grid or 2 @ 90* apart?

Thanks!

Ok, seeing that you've got the Elite plan, I'd suggest that you try with 2 grids at different heights and different gimbal settings, say set the first one at the default altitude of 285 feet with the gimbal set at -90, now duplicate this by clicking on the duplicate button

    duplicate button

Now drop the altitude of this second layer to 185 feet and change the gimbal to -65, also to make things a bit cleaner make a note of where the first grid ends, then click on the eye to the left of the duplicate button on the second grid (only the second grid will show), now drag the start point of the second grid to the position of the end point of the first grid.
