Mini 3 pro & Beta 4.5.0 notes

Very happy with Mini 3 pro support, ordered one immediately. Here's what I noticed:

  • No live feed (but photos are stored so I will try mapping later)
  • Some app closures upon rc connect and changes to cam settings
  • Aperture in manual is reported wrong (f5.6 while exif shows 1.7)
  • No mini 3 in web app (duh, just saying)
  • Pairing impossible without permission to phone and mic. Why?
  • One crash with "this app has a bug, clear cache?" while trying On The Fly: Orbit (unusable).

Tested on Galaxy fold 3 and Huawei p20 pro. 

 

Some general thoughts:

  • Would be awesome to have a "shoot maximum number of photos per second" option instead of 2 sec. I map large areas and will use multiple Mini 3's. I just want the maximum amount of photos and I think JPG's should be faster to store than 2 secs. Depends on sdk I know.
  • "disable shutter sound" would be a nice option (annoying in burst mode)

    2 seconds is the fastest the minis can take photos

    Will look into it.

    The photo interval has to be known at mission planning time for the overlap calculations.

    • "disable shutter sound" would be a nice option (annoying in burst mode)

    Probably better to post this as a separate feature request.

    Dronelink DJI beta app version 4.5.0 as of April 1st 2023.
    Aircraft Mini 3 Pro w RC-N1.
    Fw aircraft 01.000500 and fw RC-N1 04.14.0400.
    Tested with Xiaomi 11T Pro running MIUI 14 (Android 13), Xiaomi Mi Note 10; running MIUI 13 (Android 12), Huawei P20 running EMUI 12 (Android 10).
    Live video feed available when toggling between video and photo mode.
    Gimbal movement ok.
    Not tested in flight or other functionality yet.
