Mini 3 Pro - DJI RC

Gilbert Guerin

Hi,

Very good news for the Beta of Mini 3 Pro. It means the API kit has been finally released.
Is there any chance that DJI RC could be supported at some stage?
What would be necessary for that?

It would take DJI opening up the version of Android on that device to allow 3rd party apps to be installed, and then adding support for that device to the DJI SDK.

If I have a Mini 3 Pro and the DJI RC controller, what is my pathway to use Donrelink? Do I need to connect via an Android device?

Unfortunately there is no path for that combination. You need a different RC.

Ok, thank you! So if I purchased an RC N1 remote, I could connect via Android that way?

    Hi there! Very good news.

I'm exciting to try with mini 3 pro. By the way, paraphs a stupid question: I don't understand how can I choose camera settings for mini 3 pro (it doesn't appear in the combolist below).

    Thanks

I think, the best solution to buy a secondhand RC-N1, u can use a powerful mobile phone in this way.
The DJI RC has a really weak and limited hardware inside...

Thank you! Do you think something like a Samsung A8 tablet would be sufficient?

I don't know specifically, I've tried with an old smartphone samsung A5 (2017) and it seems to work

I pre-ordered the Tripltek 9 android tablet to try this with the RCN1.  I found the version 8 of their tablet to be too slow for some dronelink missions, but going to give their updated tablet a try.
