UI Refresh
Hey everyone! We have been hard at work on a UI refresh for the web and native apps.
You can access the beta web app here. It may ask you to login again - just use the same username/password as the production website.
You can get the beta native app as normal here.
Feature Highlights:
Web App
- New Create content flow with three new quick start templates, start editing workflow from Dronelink’s example repo, and creating missions from recently flown missions including on-the-fly missions.
- New Leaderboard
- Updated account home screen with searching/filtering across all repos for plans, components, functions, etc. The home screen also intelligently hides tabs and other options depending on the account type and data that is available.
- Updated repo home screen with search across all content types in the repo
- Updated missions list with enhanced search, including filters by status and date range
- New history tab in mission details to see previous runs of the mission
- Added altitude indicators over markers in Path components
- Updated explore public repos page with global map clusters
- New "save as" workflow from mission details screen
- New "start editing" workflow from mission plans owned by other users
- Updated the "hamburger" menu style, including showing the settings inline for easier access and discoverability
Native App
- New history tab to access the most recent 25 missions, which can be run again. This is useful for missions generated from on-the-fly functions. You can generate a path for example, and run it again without ever going online or using the web mission planner to save the mission as a plan.
- Updated all the lists to use a more compact layout and match the new content type colors on the web.
- Updated the "hamburger" menu to match the web.
Please post your feedback in this thread - we really appreciate it!

clicked on "START EDITING" button in mission preview... Freezes. Using MAC PC with Safari Browser. After canceling the footage markers on the path changed from Feet to Meters.
It worked fine for me, Jim. I am using windows 10 with the Google chrome browser. The only “scary“ item was that Google thought I was compromising my passwords by signing into the testing site.
Working good here too. I don't have editing in mission preview like yours shows which is strange but, everything else is working with Firefox or Chrome on my PC and iPad.
I really like the Altitude indicators.
This may help Jim understand the issue. I logged in with Google Chrome and brought up one of my already prepared missions. Hit mission preview and got "ArcGIS API failed to load" which is an issue with Google Chrome that can be fixed by changing the settings to use Hardware acceleration, but that causes other issues, so I copied the URL and switched to Safari, pasted the URL into the browser which brought up the screen without being logged in and the Edit button visible.
This is a beta release and Jim wanted feedback which is why I am posting this and how I created it.
BTW, there is no need to shut down and restart MAC computers like Windows. I have not had to shut down my MAC in weeks, maybe months.
The problem is reproducible.
Ok Larry. Understood. Forest and I were just mentioning we have had no issues. We all try to assist others. Sounds like you have a peculiar situation. Good luck and Enjoy.
Thanks for the report. This will be corrected in the next update.
The start editing button only shows on mission plans that you don't own. Clicking it effectively kicks off the copy into your account workflow.
Public mission plans are viewable, even when not logged in.
👍🏼
Nice work, Jim. Have reviewed beta web app only at this writing, at least, the parts that I would be most inclined to use. Looks good. Appears sharper/greater resolution too. Ditto the other user as pertains inclusion of altitude at key components; an often missed adjustment at various interludes when creating missions. Perhaps nothing you can do about it yet, but, on a personal wish list level, updated underlying aerial maps will prove VERY helpful to me at our northernmost flight area in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. These maps are badly outdated and there remains a very real disconnect between what the terrain looks like when mission planning versus the actual mission footage post flight. I may be fooling myself, but as I gain more confidence in using the amazing Dronelink capability, I am attempting to chart proposed routes for new trails through the forest as well as mapping for forest management planning. Thanks for all your efforts in supporting us users and making a great product greater.
Do all Autel flights, even in Beta using DL get included/logged as part of the leaderboard standing? And is it in real-time or batch or not at all?
Only mission engaged time, not flight time. It is real-time if your device has a network connection.
