Quick noob question about descent

Douglas White
I was planning as my first mission to do a path to a building about 0.5 mi from my house at 200 ft altitude, descend to 100 feet for an orbit component and finally rise to 200 ft and do another path component back to my house. How can I make my mavic mini wait until it reaches my house to descend? The flight preview shows it descending gradually as it gets close to my house and I'm afraid of it hitting a tree in that last stretch? Thanks for any help or ideas...

Hi Douglas. Can you send a link to the plan ? Hard to guess why if it’s set to 200 feet from the added destination point and path. Unless you added a marker somewhere on the path and changed the altitude and set it to Curved or Straight. If so just change the marker interpolation to “ None”

Glad to help more if we can see the plan.

    Good Luck. Mike…….

Disable interpolation or use a few destination components.

That will work. You will figure out there can be many ways to set up a mission plan. It takes time to learn what you can do with DL. Jim is the owner of DL and always on here to assist. Great support. Also many others in here which can help. We were all new to this at one time.

    Enjoy, Mike……

Well my first attempts at flying a mission did not go too well...several times the mission was delayed by errors (telemetry delayed, camera start capture failures) . I hope there's not an issue with my mini (I bought it used but with 4 minutes flight time)

It sounds like you are having signal interference, which is a problem for any virtual stick application like Dronelink.

I do live in an area with a lot of trees (the reason for the 200 ft traveling altitude) would that be enough to cause my issues or do you think it's electrical interference? Would a signal booster help?

    It could be anything.
