Mapping Mission Stop
I was doing a mapping mission on my neighborhood area to test out the app about 24ha. Firstly it takes a long time for Dronelink to executed the mission my battery from 100% went down to 65% before it went forward to the approach point. From the screen it was moving along the grid when suddenly a message appears " Mission stop drone was off course" and it just hover over the location. Camera was at 2s and it changes to 3s on its own. I seriously like the function in dronelink when it comes to mapping but the time from clicking to start the mission to it actually move is simply to long and what is this drone off course message when it was moving ok from the photos I see.

Hi are you using iOS or Android? Which phone? Which drone are you using?
Also, can you share the mission plan you are using?

I am using your latest app and my tab is a lenovo M8. I see potential in your app but only 2 thing stopping me from recommending to my friend who has the same hobby in mapping. 1. Even if the mission has been downloaded, for me it take about 8 minutes before the play button apprears and when it does the app freeze. 2. You can't adjust the take off zone without having internet connection which is useless if you are unsure of your take off location like we face in all mapping works. 3 For mapping we would always want the drone to continue mission upon disconnect like they have in other app.
When you have fix the above issues your app would be awesome for mapping works because of the 3 option that you you mapping software.
You should consider using a more powerful a mobile device to have a better user experience. Learn why here.
Hello PN:
Just copied your plan and loaded it with my IPad Mini 5 in about 15 seconds. I believe it’s your device which is causing your problems. Jim can probably help you more with that issue. As far as needing an internet connection in the field, I use a WiFi only IPad and if needed I use Hot Spot from my IPhone to change, alter or modify anything quickly. Once completed I don’t need it and turn it off. You can also download the mission before flight. If you are in some extremely desolate area with no cellular service then nothing you can do. Good luck. Mike.....
I know the answer to Question number 3 but, Jim can answer that much better then me.

This is not how Dronelink works because it uses virtual stick. You can upvote onboard compatibility here.
Ok so granted that the device that I was using may not be sufficient I switch to a phone with 4gb ram. The mission loaded faster and all but after reaching the approach location and starting the mission it says "Drone too far of course" and from the attached photo it is where it is suppose to be. The other mission stop when I tried to resume is "telemetry delayed". Would be grateful if you could kindly tell me what I did wrong this time.
RAM doesn't matter - it is all about how fast your processor is.
Both of these issues indicate either a slow device or RF interference, or both.
If that is the case I am using a samsung A7 which I find no problem with the DJI App, Fimi App and Drone Harmony App.It is only with Dronelink I am facing this problem. I am only asking for a solution and do you have a list of recommended "more powerfull device". Your answer does not help me one bit.
Comparing the performance of other apps that don't use virtual stick is irrelevant. There are many variables that affect the performance, which is why it is hard to say what will result in a good user experience for your exact situation, but in general a good rule of thumb is use a device that has a processor that was released within the last two years.
Well my model is a 2019 model. Anyway thanks for your reply which is of no help to me right now. Hope you check on your part to see if there is a bug. Don't wish to continue with this tread when there is no direct solution for me.
Sorry it isn't the answer you want to hear. You are free to request a refund at support@dronelink.com
Hi PN. I completely understand your frustration when you get those error messages, I do get many with my MA2. I've noticed that your RC signal is really poor according to your screenshots, and that may be the reason you get those errors. Your map starting point is more than 500 m away, and in an urban area with many interference sources I think that is too far away. I would recommend that you create smaller missions to cover that area, whit different take off point. Later you'll be able to pool the images in a single map. I hope this helps. Best.
Hi PN. Which Drone are you using ?
I understand your frustration as well. However, as I stated in my previous comment above, it only took my device about 15 seconds to load your mission. I believe your device is just not capable of working well with DL. It should never take that long to load and I believe that’s one big issue. As Jim stated, It needs to be a device which is powerful enough to run DL and should be within about the last two years. A 2019 model of the device your using may not be capable of handling DL especially since it is now a three year old device. Sounds like the other device you used solved the loading issue.
Second issue is your Signal strength. First thing to do is figure out why your connection is so poor. If you have no signal then it won’t work. I posted in my other comment also about how DL works with a link. It uses Virtual Sticks which needs a connection. Try the same distance in that area with the DJI App and see what your signal meters indicates. Looking at your plan it indicates about 2,000 feet from take-of to the farthest distance which is just under 1/2 mile.

Last is the drone off-course failure. Any good winds or anything which will push it off course will make it fail. Set the motion tolerance from the default of 75 feet and try once you figure out the interference issue.
Good luck, Mike.......
