2 Questions - Manual Controle After Flight - Return back after choosing flight

I have two technical questions.

I am using an Ipad for the app on location

I am using an Inspire 2 as the drone.

1st Question - Today after my flight was complete the drone went to return to home as it should. Issue is I was shooting in a desert and it was really windy, I launched from a table to help reduce the amount of dust gets picked up on the drone. When the unit was reutrning to home I was able to do manual control but it still kept trying to return to home on its own as well which made it very tough to land the drone trying to fight the auto return. I know I can pause my flight during the flight and do manual control. But when the flight was done and it went to return to home I have no clue how to stop it from doing that operation and allow me to do have full control on my own. Any advice would be greatly apprecaited!

2nd Question - When I select a flight plan on my ipad I have no way of going back in case I want to choose another flight plan. I end up having to exit the app and reopen it. How can I return to main screen when I get put into the flight preview/drone preview window?

    Question 1: https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036830214-How-do-I-take-over-control-during-a-mission-

If you don’t do one of the options above the sticks are still disabled so you can’t actually take Manual control.

Question 2: Just click on the arrow in top left of Native app to go back or tap the Home icon and select another plan.

Hope that’s what your looking for. Enjoy.

@Mike Thank you for the reply. I will 100% have to try the sport mode to see if that will give me instant access. I think it should work.

As far as the icon in top left, on my cellphone I do see it, however on my Ipad I do not which is why it made it so hard. Attached is a screenshot of what I currently have/see.

Sergey Poltavskiy, the other way of clearing the mission is to click on the X to the right of the mission name in your screenshot, also you might find it beneficial to change from classic to modern mode

The classic dashboard will be going away soon anyway, but until then, you tap the Dronelink icon to go back.

Martin Reading so when I click the X it actually just closes that window and nothing else happens. Just leaves me now with a black drone navigation and no mission ability what so ever.

Also the reason I am using classic is because Modern does not display the battery information for my Inpsire 2 so the admins told me a while back to switch to classic.

Jim McAndrew this comment somewhat scares me. The last time I used modern my drones battery information was nowhere to be seen and I almost had it crash because return to home / auto low battery feauture was not working. I am on the Inspire 2 and as I can see even now the battery information is not shown. Classic is the only one that shows battery information for the inspire 2. Admins a while ago told me to use Classic due to this exact reason.

We are working on getting to feature parity with the modern dashboard and then it will go away.

Hello again Jim McAndrew, link below to the discussion I had a while ago. As you can see from this topic it was an issue that was confirmed by Barry as well and you mentioned that it was a bug, however not sure this was ever resolved?

On a side note, I have not had free time to test the app / fly the drone since that post and yesturday, so I can be 100% wrong at this point.

You should connect everything and switch to modern and see if everything is working. It only takes a couple seconds and you can switch back. I’m using either iPad Mini 5 or iPad 11 Pro and all is good with either device. Has been working great overall for quite awhile. Don’t have the inspire but MM or MA2 is all good. Also make sure the screen fonts aren’t set to larger or it may cut off stuff like battery percentage, satellites etc.

Mike I will try to test it today if I find a window of time. The only issue is this battery problem was specific to the Inspire 2 model. I had modern working just fine on my Mavic, its the inspire that for whatever reason it had issues with. Admins have confirmed the problems as well in the past so its not like I am doing something wrong.
