How to select all objects and then rotate them by 180 degrees

Bruce Sherman

The plan includes a point of interest, an orbit, and three waypoints.  This plan takes photos every two seconds when orbiting, and takes one photo for each of the three waypoints.  The point of interest is a model home.  How can all the objects be selected in the Android app and then rotated 180 degrees to photograph a house across the street?

Hi Bruce Sherman, is this what you are looking to achieve, https://app.dronelink.com/martin-reading/public-test/plan/a2VvUHNQURcN6WOFpdqb

If the answer is yes, then at the top of the waypoints setting panel click on the duplicate button, this will create a duplicate of the waypoints, now on this duplicate, click on the eye symbol, this will hide all the other components, now zoom in and click and hold on the rotate component symbol and drag so as to rotate the component 180 deg, when you release it you'll get a message that asks if you want to rotate the POI as well, say yes, now click and hold the number 3 and drag it to the right till its close to where you want it, click the eye again to turn on the other components, so that you can make any final adjustments.

To do all of this you need to be in EXPERT mode, which you can select in the hamburger menu, top left

Thanks for the analysis, but, that is not what I am trying to achieve.  I want to photograph another house, including the orbit and the three waypoints.  I want to reuse my plan for house, after house, after house.  For simplicity and efficiency, I want to select all the objects, rotate them, and position them for another house.

Ok in that case check out the video by Barry Houldsworth on moving missions & creating components

Thanks for pointing me towards the video on Vimeo.  After watching the video, I performed the procedure to reuse the component.  However, the component is not one object.  It is still divided into point of interest, orbit, and three waypoints.  I still want to select all the objects, rotate them, and position them for another house.

Is there a way in which a component can be locked to make it one object?  Then, is there an efficient way to rotate and position that component?

Is there a video to show how to embed one component into another component?  That might permit a workaround.

Think this feature request might be what you're looking for https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/7660967298963-Rotate-a-multi-component-plan-about-its-center-point maybe give it an up vote, although I know that Jim McAndrew and the rest of the development team have higher priorities at the minute

Yes, that feature is what I am looking for.  I just gave it an up vote.  Thanks for your time and guidance.

Embedding a component within a component does not provide the desired result.
