Is it possible to bring in orthomosaic for mission planning?

ross rice

I have a site that I fly monthly that started as a green field.  All map apps still show it as such, although now there is a big hospital there nearing completion.

I would love to be able to import a KML or something into dronelink so that I can see the existing conditions while planning a mission.  I want to plan a waypoint mission around the building for some marketing/hype videos.

Is such a thing possible?

I have some thoughts on this that I think might help that I was going to turn into a future "Five Minute Friday".  But...I haven't tested them yet so it's still just an idea.

I don't think it will be exactly what you want, but it could be good enough to get you where you need.

If you send me an email at barry@aviosaerialmedia.com I can send you an early version once I have it worked out.

you can import an orthophoto into google earth as an overlay then plan your mission as a path in google earth before exporting as a kml to import into dronelink, check out these videos
