AGL update all ?
When I create a new mission using agl is it possible to set all existing and modification markers to agl instead of working through each point to reset each point from the default "takeoff location" to agl or terrain follow? Same with all agl interpolation settings to continue as curved, is that possible?
In other words can typical settings I start a mission with at waypoint alpha continue to waypoint zulu?

Hi Doug. I don’t know of any way to do it that way. I believe one issue would be once you changed one waypoint it could mess up all others which may be set up differently. I’ve always used path actions (markers) well before the waypoints functions were added in newer version. The newer DL version with the waypoint functions is a great addition but in my opinion it’s much easier to add markers and have the ability to slide them along the path anywhere you want so your not stuck to a specific waypoint only. Once you add one marker and set the parameters to what altitude, interpolation etc. you just duplicate (copy) the maker and it will be the same. Doesn’t matter how many markers you add. They can be moved anywhere on the path and you can add more if needed. It just gives me much more control anywhere along the path for any function like Camera, gimbal pitch, speed, altitude etc. Also they don’t need to be dragged all the way along the path. They can be dragged across to another section of the path and attached. Hope that helps. Enjoy….
Thanx Mike I will give that a try
Sorry I forgot about one feature. I can only use my iPad so I don’t use it. You can select multiple items when using a keyboard and a mouse. Hold the Shift key and select the waypoints you want to change. Then set what you want and all of them will be the same settings. I think there is a limit on how many can be selected at a time but that may work for you.
Also Depending on the length of the path you may still need to add some markers in between the waypoints along the path. The world ESRI data which it uses is only accurate for every 30m along the path, not at every point.
Hope this helps. Good luck and enjoy.
Wow, definitely going to try that. Good to know about the ESRI data while we are at it. Thanx
Just had a play with that, knew you could select multiple components like that, but not waypoints
Yeah I wasn’t sure since I don’t use a PC with mouse. However, once you add markers you can select multiple ones and set them that way. It may work on other components as well but you will need to test which can be multi-selected.
Update. I tried with my iPad using a BT keyboard and it works great. What you could do is set the waypoint path to AGL first. Then scroll down to the waypoints list and multi-select all the others and add altitude to them and select AGL with whatever interpolation you want. Once you try it I’m sure you will see how easy it is. Once they are all updated I’d still place some markers anywhere along the path in between each waypoint where the distance is great. Can’t hurt to place more to ensure good altitude continuity especially where the elevation increases a good amount. Enjoy……
Wow guys such a good tip, so cool .. thumbs up n stuff
