Tripltek 7 pro not powerful enough now?
Hi
I have a air 2 & everything worked fine when I got it all a few months ago. Have not flown in like 4-5 months. Just was updating everything when a new pop up started showing up. Says my device is not powerful enough for the app. What changed?

It was not powerful enough before, it just wasn't on our list of legacy devices, which we have to maintain and add to manually. When we see a sufficient amount of negative data for a device, we add it to the list.
I should qualify my answer a bit: if you continue to use Dronelink without issues for your use case, go for it. The warning is just there so users understand that their device has a higher chance of resulting in a poor user experience.
I personally think the Tripltek 8 is underpowered as well. They created it with great display and battery, but honestly, it's not a computing powerhouse. Check out geekbench on it for a benchmark score. Dronelink is not the only thing that suffers on that device.
I looked for spec requirements for android & it just says a OS, no real specs listed. Unless I didn't find the correct page? I am kinda bummed even tripltek 8 pro not good enough. I was just going to upgrade as I like their company, they figured out my issue, helped me big time. But I need good tech 1st and for most. Are any Panasonic tough tablets good? I used to be a apple power user but fire. For my application I prefer tough, apple can be cased up but something about rugged tech I just like.
I dont disagree, although I do now fly with a ipad mini latest gen and it works great as a matter of being practical and effective in the field. For my other drones, its rc pro enterprise and works great with Dronelink.
For the cost of a Tripltek I’d invest in an iPad Mini 6. The Mini doesn’t have the high nits like the Tripltek tablets but far more powerful and should last for several years. I’m still using the iPad Mini 5 which was released in March 2019 and still no issues. Some don’t like the 500 nit brightness but I don’t have any issue using it. I’m sure I will eventually need to upgraded but for now it’s still working great. If you don’t want an IOS device then there are other Android OS devices out there but most are around the same 500 nits whether a phone or Tablet, Android or IOS. Just some info to confirm consider when purchasing a new device which should have been released recently. I suggest investing once now on a higher priced device which should work for a couple years or more. Good luck.
I run a galaxy 7FE 5G, which does the job nicely for me
