Blank screen
Flew 14 minute mission today and experienced a completely blank screen. Using Mini with Samsung S21. Started mission normally with only DroneLink open. Halfway through mission between 300 and 400 feet altitude the screen on my phone went blank. I clicked on the sideways hamburger icon (bottom left) which opens all apps. running, Dronelink was not running. I closed all apps and tried to re-start DL and it started but went right to a blank screen. I again closed all apps and opened DJI Fly, app opened but said RC could not connect to AC. I re-started the RC and still no luck. Since I could not see the drone and I was not sure what was happening after a guesstimate of approximately 2 minutes I hit the RTH button. AC returned without a problem and I had manual control. A review of the video shows that it recorded during this period and a review of the flight log showed NO loss of connection. I think I experienced this once before but I could not find it in the forum but I seem to remember it being explained as just a glitch.

I had the same issue for the first time on a couple missions with the latest Beta. The battery swap issue I had with max altitude reached did same thing. After going back to the previous version 4.1.1 (227) I’ve had no issues with max altitude or camera feed. Seems like there may be a couple things with the 4.2.0. I’d try the previous version and see if it works. Patiently waiting for a new build to see if issues are gone.
Are you able to reproduce it?
I have not tried yet. It was early evening here so not enough time. I am almost afraid to reproduce it but I will put my strobe on so that it is easier to see. I did not compare the flight record time to the video but I think the camera still recorded while out of contact. I will also do a screen recording. Probably not until tomorrow, have to go to in-laws for Thanksgiving
I thought I had responded to you with another similar situation but I do not see it here. Yesterday I flew the exact same mission and about 2 minutes into the mission DL shut off but instead of a blank screen it went to my phone's desktop. The drone was only 20 feet off the ground and I could see that it just stopped and hovered, but it was still recording even though I could not see anything. I closed all apps and turned on DJI to fly drone back, it worked. I then closed all apps and turned DL back on (this did not work before) and DL worked and I was able to finish mission. I have since flown 2 of the same missions with no problem. I will keep trying to see if I can re-create.
I was right about previously responding, something happens when hitting the "Submit" button and what I wrote disappeared, it just happened to me now, I hit Submit and I went back to the beginning of the post, I scrolled down and nothing there. I hit the back button and I was able to recover my post. I think last time I thought it went through and shut down. Lets see what happens now. I am going to copy text just in case.
Worked fine this time. Weird, I thought this happened to me before, convinced myself that I was losing my mind.
