Five Minute Friday - Using Airdata to find old footage

Barry Houldsworth Dronelink Expert Dronelink Expert

Today's Five Minute Friday isn't really Dronelink-specific, but is a very useful tool for anyone that has uploads flight data automatically from Dronelink to their Airdata account.  And, if like me you are a data-hoarder, this can save you hours searching for that clip.

Here's the link to the video: https://vimeo.com/762608858

I hope you find it useful.  Comments welcome!

Good one Barry Houldsworth, I use Airdata a lot, didn't know that was there, certainly makes finding old logs a lot better and faster

Thanks Barry Houldsworth - I've setup Airdata integration a long time ago and forgot about this.

One thing to keep in mind is that not all your flights might be available, depending on your Airdata plan - the free plan allows for only 100 active flights and the other levels' limits are described in their pricing section.

Amazing how Barry can produce these FMF videos regularly - and for free. It's really convinced me that the Dronelink ecosystem is the place to be...

Thanks Martin Reading  - this certainly saved me hours each time I used it.  I just have to remember to use it!

Heinrich  You are correct.  Although I have found that Airdata seems slow to delete.  I've been over my 1200 flight quota for some time and, so far, they seem to keep them :)  That's good because the next step up is a big one!

And I do these videos when I can.  I do provide consulting services for users of Dronelink (and other platforms), and the 5MF videos do help with credibility.  Plus...I quite enjoy doing them :)

2-1/2 years using Airdata and never new about that feature. I’m sure there is even more I could learn if I start going through all the functions or features it has. Thanks Barry, Always informative.

In regards to the plan limit. I have the 1200 flight plan also. I haven’t gone over it  but I’m fairy sure when it goes over your limit it archives the older flights though.

Here is a link which describes what happens to older archived flights.

Just looked at the pricing plan and it states archived flights are kept for 12 months for the HD 360 Gold plan which is the 1200 minute plan. Hopefully most of your archived flights are still there and can be brought back if upgraded. Hope this helps Barry. 🤙🏼
