Gimbal orientation error
Hi!
I am on drone firmware 02.04.2190 with an Air 2s
I set up my mission for mapping:
I keep receiving the Gimbal orientation error - I changed the orientation to 84 degrees like a few others suggested - but still receive the error.
Any thoughts as to what is happening?
Thanks,
Matt

Are you in classic mode or modern version?
If you are in the modern version, try the classic one.
Hi! I just tried it in classic - same error message...
I may be able run your mission later. Mine is a MA2 but basically it should work the same. If I do I’ll let you know how it goes and if any issues. I don’t see anything in your plan which should cause that. Unfortunately the A2S has had many problems with the gimbal but DJI was supposed have corrected the issues awhile ago.
Mike - Thanks for checking!
Hey Matt. I Just flew your mission exactly as you had it set up with my MA2. No issues at all with gimbal staying at the set -84°. Mission ran perfectly with no adjustments made by me. First thing I’d suggest to do is refresh the firmware on both drone and controller using DJI Assistant 2 (consumer drone series) PC software. Then go ahead and calibrate the IMU and Compass. Doesn’t take long and will ensure the firmware is downloaded properly. Sometimes software can get muddled up so best to do this first. If still an issue then I’m sure DL can run your plan with an A2S to see if they can reproduce the issue and if so I know they will figure it out. Hopefully refreshing it will fix the problem. Good luck….😃
Mike -
I flashed the firmware on drone & controller, recalibrated IMU, Compass and gimbal. I ran the mission and it worked perfectly - thank you!!
Now off to practice...
Matt
Good to hear Matt and your welcome. Sometime it’s the simplest things. Enjoy……..
